No, I believe that the real ones are from the instigations of the Evil One as they have sacrificed animals around them so when you think about it--there is a round circle in a field of wheat (the Host or the Eucharist) and then the sacrificed animal of the Old Testament but, he knew that people would say there were extraterrestrials instead of evil spirits so that's why he did it.
