I'd never hurl abuse at you simply for being a Christian.

Now, if you start shoving your views on me--then we got problems!

Sorry, but why should I hurl abuse at you for being a Christian? Is being a Christian so bad that you want to be abused? Huh? Perhaps if you are getting this feeling from Christianity, you should find another spiritual path.

I don't bash Christians for being Christians. Some of my best friends and the family members I love most are Christian.

I only object when people try to convert me and treat me like an idiot because I don't agree with them that everyone in the world should be forced to believe in the words written in a book cobbled together from hundreds of other books and translated & transcribed with varying degrees of accuracy for the last 1700+ years. If they're happy as Christians, fine, but their right to believe does not include the right to force their religion down my throat or into the laws of my country.

Anger, hate? No, if anything you have my understanding and sympathy. I and others will not hurl abuse at you until you become so arrogant you think you are superior to those who do not accept your beliefs.

Hey, you can be a Christian if you wish. Just don't expect me to sign up. The anger you feel is the result of Christians voting as a block to undermine America's democratic principles and force Christian superstitions and prejudices into Federal law.

I wouldn't abuse you for being Christian unless you refused to respect my beliefs. I am only angry when I am told that I am wrong because you do not agree with me.

Well, prove it.

That wasn't meant to sound abusive. That was the start of a debate.

But isn't it insulting to threaten someone with eternal torture for not holding your religious views?

I'm not angry at all.

Just because I don't believe what you believe doesn't make me unhappy, depressed, resentful, angry, immoral, or evil.
