Would you want it fast and over with, or have time to say goodbye and wrap things up first?

(I'd rather die in a plane crash than from a long disease.)

I think this one has more answerers than any question I've ever put out there. My Dad died last year in hhis sleep after eating strawberry shortcake, and having his family there over the previous week. He was sick, but not dependent, still had his mind, and didn't suffer long. Guess that was pretty ideal. I used to have dreams about him dying, and he would always ask how it happened. He said his favorite was dying on the steps of a museum after spending time with his family.

morbid question, but honestly i'd love to die laughing. it would be great for something to be so funny that it makes you laugh until you lose your breath. and at least you'd be feeling good during your very last moment in life.

In my sleep, after a visit from my son and his family.
He already foretold I am going to die in a house he has built for me not far from his, because he has children and a spoiled wife. He will visit more often than she, although towards the end, he will take her with him, as he doesn't want to left alone when he says goodbye the final time. (from a three year old, and he gave me the year of my death, and my future husband will precede me by at least 10 years, and there may be another husband, and if there is he will outlive me by 5 years, and no more.) I accepted.
This boy loves his mom and wants his life to move on, and he wants his wife by his side.

If I had to die, I'd want it to be for others, for courage, for the sake of my country, my cause, or my God. Yes of course, I'd wanna say goodbye; but you never know when your time'll come, so tell everyone you love them every time you see them.

If my death could save a life or two; or inspire courage, bravery, and hope others; or stop someone from hurting other people; than it would not be in vain, and I would suffer any method of known or imaginable death. The pain would be worth it.

I would choose a short, painless, and heroic death, so that my last act on earth is a good one, and the one people will remember most out of all my actions. This way, I won't have to deal with the grief of relatives who can't cope with the pain brought upon me by disease or anything like that. I just hate to see people cry, so I won't want to say goodbye to them like that. I would rather say goodbye in another way that will tell people I love them, and that I don't regret anything at all. I want to die feeling good about myself. :)

I don't think it matters, as long as one is living so that there is nothing, or at least little that is already unsaid.

Let the people you love know it. Don't let your apologies go unsaid. If you do this, an unexpected death doesn't mean that things are unfinished.

Other than that, I would prefer not to suffer for a great deal of time.

Old age, sitting on a lounge chair, facing the sea and closing my eyes permanently as I watch the sun sets. Of course, it's just a wish which may not come to happen but since I have nothing to worry about unsettled things such as what am I going to leave behind as an inheritance or legacy to my love ones and luckily not a huge bills for them to pay for, whatever type of death is welcome to me. I just do not want the family I will leave behind lingering too long on pains brought by my death neither do I want them to take care of me while I am helplessly just waiting for the time.

I hate this question it's so morbid but I would want to go quick and painless when I am old and grey and life has lost it's luster and if by that point it doesn't look like it is going to be quick and painless then I will go and find a drug dealer and Over Dose on Heroin or some similar euphoric drug

I would want to die wide awake, aware that I was "dropping the body" and ready to step into the doorway of the next realm whatever it may be. Aware, conscious, and able to choose the date and time if possible.

This would enable me to retain the knowledge that I've gained in this lifetime, and carry it consciously with me into the next, with anticipation at where I'm going next and to know and understand what I am to accomplish there.

Since I know God knows best, I would not want to choose. I want only God to choose how my life will end as He knows what is best, and who am I to question Him about anything. We all have ways we think would be easier, less painful, but fact is only God can take a life and deceide how we go so all the supposition is a waste to time.
God bless you tho. Just be sure that when you do die, you die in Christ. Then you go to Heaven forever. amen
