Simple Magic Illusions are fine. They're fun and entertaining.
But other magic on the other hand...
Magic does exist. It is very real as is the spirit world. When you call on spirits to show witchcraft you're dealing with something you know nothing about. The use of Ooja boards and such are not right.
" When you come into the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire [an ancient occult practice], or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination [detestable] to the LORD…”
-Deuteronomy 18:9-12a
That is a quote from the Bible. There's no such thing as white magic or black magic or blue magic. Magic is magic.
The Truth is the Truth and what you say can't change it.Jesus is the Truth. When you mess with the Truth, just know that you're messing with the Creator.

I'm Muslim and I don't know much about magic. I know there are some Wiccans who use white magic and some who use black magic. I also know that Witchcraft is condemmed in the Qur'an as it says in Sura 2 The Hefier:
102. They pursued what the devils taught
concerning Solomon's kingdom.
Solomon, however, was not a disbeliever,
but the devils were disbelievers.
They taught the people sorcery,
and that which was sent down through
the two angels of Babel, Haroot and Maroot.
These two did not divulge such
knowledge without pointing out:
"This is a test. You shall not
abuse such knowledge."
But the people used it in such evil
schemes as the breaking up of
marriages. They can never harm
anyone against the will of GOD.
They thus learn what hurts them,
not what benefits them, and they
know full well that whoever
practices witchcraft will have
no share in the Hereafter.
Miserable indeed is what they sell
their souls for, if they only knew.
103. If they believe and lead a
righteous life, the reward from
GOD is far better,
if they only knew.

Magic is simple, but what groups you asks the question is a far great concern. The question should read within your religion what does magic do? How should I know I have enough trouble live my life.

Magic is an illusion meant to deceive the onlooker. In magic, the hands are quicker than the eyes.

More than your average fluffybunny, or Salem, MA shop owner. Oh dear, that was a bit redundant, huh?
I know magic is often referred to as an equivalent to prayer. From what I've read it appears to be a mixture of prayer/worship and karma, sort of.

Nothing. However, the Quran says it is Haram to do black magic and the Christian Bible says it is forbidden to practice evil magic.
