The story of the prodigal son is a parable, but it is true; it is symbolic of how God receives us when we turn away from Him and then come back in humility and contrition. Adam and Eve were real people, and God is a real person that you can know.

I'm sorry, you have to take the whole thing literally. It's all or nothing. If jesus said there was a prodigal son then you'd better believe there really was a prodigal son or you're going straight to HELL. I myself am mounting an expedition to the Middle East to discover the true identity of the good samaritan. Anyone want to come?

the Prodigal Son is a parable, Adam and Eve are depicted in the bible as fact, and we will never understand what God IS only that he exists and he keeps his promises.

No, Adam and Eve really lived, when Jesus gave a parable, He identified it as such.

Is this ANOTHER attack on Christianity? If you don't believe in Christ why are you so preoccupied with him? How can you loathe something that doesn't even exist?
