In the San Gabriel Valley, think Monterey Park, Alhambra and San Gabriel; however, there is a strong contingent in Walnut. The more affluent are in San Marino and LaCanada. In the OC, Westminster and Garden Grove; Artesia has a large East Indian community. Irvine also has a large Asian community.

There are more Vietnamese in "Little Saigon" area in Westminster and Garden Grove than in the old Saigon Vietnam. Both cities were on a downhill slide until the Vietnamese moved in. The area is now fairly cleaned up and several spectacular mini malls, Temples, cemetaries, and the best food and markets anywhere.
As a caucasion 54 year old man I have always been treated with courtesy, respect and very friendly service there.
Monterey Park, Little Tokyo (L.A.), Diamond Bar, Irvine, City of Industry, Koreatown (L.A.), and of course Chinatown (L.A.) have high population of Asians.
Everywhere the Asians settle, the area improves. They seem to gravitate toward inexpensive (relatively) shabby neighborhoods and build them up. Wise.

The most Vietnamese are in Garden Grove/Westminster area. Most Chinese in Monterey park. Indians seem to gravitate toward the San Fransisco area. Santa Ana itself is mostly a Chicano population.

It's a toss up...
Monterey Park/San Gabriel, or Garden Grove/Westminster Fountain Valley. Take your pick. Fullerton has a lot of Asians, as well.

Monterey Park... Alhambra is full of Asians, all my friends...also San Gabriel, and everything around these places
