so, this guy isn't interested in me after all. i never really thought he was that good looking, i got bad vibes from him and i never considered getting serious with him. we didn't hang out much, but WHY THE HELL am i still hurt that he doesn't like me? my mind says "who cares" while my heart is hurting. i just don't get how he couldn't like me. not to toot my own horn or anything, but i am a GREAT girl...so toot toot!

The word is "REJECTION", it hurts and makes a person question who they are. Just know, even the most beautiful people of this world have been rejected at one point in their lives. Can't please all the people all of the time.

Maybe you were uncertain over having a relationship with him, but still feel rejected now that the fear of commitment has passed? All the uncertainty went away, but the loss of an interesting possibility now dominates. It is another case of the heart and mind being poorly coordinated.

So is it your emotions that are hurt or more so your ego. It seems like an ego problem. Let it go. If you are a GREAT person, someone who is perhaps worthy of who you are and what you have to offer will eventually come along.

It's a feeling of getting rejected. Even if you weren't really into him to begin with, you think so highly of yourself that sometimes you think..."Why WOULDN'T he like me?"
