Thanks for the suggestion. I am a Christian and to my best with the help of the Spirit I try to do this... You seem to know something about what Jesus said and his character.... Have you considered studying about Him in detail with an open mind...? Just you and Christ and ignore the rest of the world (Christian world)? Surely you won't start stealing just because your neighbor is a thief.. right...?? Just because Christians do bad things, doesn't give you the right or the reason to be bad.... You are responsible for yourself...

I think you may be exaggerating the situation a little. There are plenty of Christians here who are respectful of other people's beliefs, caring, and can defend their faith without resorting to name-calling or bad behavior. Father K, Debra M (please continue to send prayers and positive energy her way), and a host of others represent the best of what a Christian can and should be.
As for the others, Jesus also said, "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do." Maybe they were raised in judgmental homes and churches, or maybe they are young in the Faith and just haven't matured enough to deal well with controversy.
Please try to be patient with them and understand that Christians come from all kinds of backgrounds and outlooks -- some not so positive as others.

I agree with you. I think some christians start getting mad at the attacks by other people towards christians and want to fight back. I don't think it's right but that's the way they handle themselves. Jesus said to turn the other cheek. By God's grace I try to answer someone's question with kindness and truth, that's the only way they will listen.

You will know them by their fruits...just don't confuse telling the truth with attacks on anothers' beliefs. If I tell you something that, according to the Bible, goes against your belief it doesn't necessarily mean that I am attacking you. If I call you names like ignorant, brainwashed and so on then that IS AN ATTACK!!
I am a Christian and hope that my answers are not seen as attacks.

Some do respond in a hostle tone, but more often than not the reader is CHOOSING to percieve hostility where none really exists. God , in the Bible, never once tolerated belief in other religions - so neither do we.That IS doing likewise. We sometimes fail ,admittedly, to voice our arguments in a friendly mannor.Still, from what I've seen it's the reader more often than not who wants to see hostility where there is none.

We are to be in defense of the Gospel, not in defense of ourselves...The Gospel should be presented in Love, however we should not shrink back from the truth in our presentation...The Gospel of Jesus Christ will be a rock of offense to many on it's own merit....Fanning the fire with personal attacks or using unChristlike language is certainly not protocol, however.

Yes some Christians get mad when other people make fun of our beliefs and they fight back. When we should turn the other cheek. âº
