If god really cared about sins, why would he create a universe with "sin"? If he can do anything, couldn't he create a world with free-will AND no sins?

I think God is concerned about His children -- all of us! -- rather than about sin. Sin can do nothing to harm the all-powerful God; it cannot take away anything from Him nor add anything to Him. He is perfect in all ways.

God made humans in His image and likeness. For most believers, that means that, like Him, we have intelligence and free will; thus we are able to know and to love. Those are perfections for us, qualities that no other earthly creature has been given. God wants us to know Him and to love Him in this world, and He has given us the means to do that.

Without free will, we would never be able to love, since love involves choice: I freely want to do good for you to make you happy. With or without the emotion of human love, one may always choose to do good for others, to love others. If humans did not have that power of free will, there could be no "love," because humans would be forced by nature or instinct or whatever to do good for others. There would be no choice, and so there would be no love.

The obvious problem with the gift of free will is that someone might use the gift, not for love and goodness, but for evil and selfishness. How much more impressive is it that, in the midst of evil, someone chooses good -- e.g., Mother Teresa. And the inspiration we receive from others can help each of us to do good -- to love! -- others unconditionally.

God cares about His human children. He wants all to use His gifts well AND, believers know, He gives everyone who is open to Him the grace to live in just such a loving way.

I've shared this before. When God (who the bible says is love-1 John 4:8), created man, in His image and in His likeness, He did it to express that love with and through humanity. But for that love to be real on our part, it had to be tested. For a test will reveal what something is "made of". But as Genesis tells us, man believed the lies of the serpent (satan, lucifer, the already fallen angel), and from that point of disobedience, sin and death (the curse) came upon this world (Romans 5). But God, even from the beginning offered a way of redemption that was perfected in the life, death and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ. But in God's plan, you and I must choose the path of life. Because of the fall of man, all humanity is born under the curse and are condemned to a life of eternity in hell, but God loved this world so much He gave His only begotten Son to save those who would believe in Him. He sets before us the way of life, we as men and women must make that choice as a free moral agent. Those who reject God's gift are literally saying that they would rather choose a life that ends in eternal destruction. The choice is ours. I was a very immoral man who was looking for meaning in life and I accepted God's offer, and it's the greatest joy and fulfillment anyone can recieve. Remember, the choice is ours and ours alone. God wants you and everyone to make the right choice.

God cares about us. He gave us free will, because he wants us to choose to love him. He created us and loves us beyond our own comprehension.

Love given freely is always better then love demanded or programed. He knew that giving us free will meant we could choose not to love him, but it's all about the relationship. The courtship and eventually the wedding banquet.

Because without free will, we would be incapable of loving God. We would merely be robots. There is a good use to free will as well as misuse of free will.

He wants you to choose Him.

The real question here is "Why do people use free-will to sin?"

Just an opinion but perhaps because he wanted us to chose to love him. He didnt want to force it upon us, rather give us the freewill to choose it.
