As many of you are aware, the prayer request for Debra M was removed. That's the question posed by her husband when she was in a coma and received almost 100 compassionate responses.
Why did they remove this, but leave other questions. It united people for a time and also passed on something about someone we care about.
How do you send a complaint to Yahoo!Answers about removing this question? I feel that this one should have been an exception as it harmed no one.

If anyone else wants to complain, two of the people answering have listed the link. Maybe if enough people protest, they will rethink issues like this.

Isn't that some bull? I'm a rabid bunny right now, this is just a new low for Yahoo.
I won't be complaining, I have a different plan in mind. If you want to see, be sure to be in R+S tomorrow at 12:30PM EST.

I didn't see the question but I can't believe Yahoo removed it! It's not often you see this forum come together and unite on an issue but Debra M is someone we all care about.
I know the person who posted the question should have received an e-mail from Yahoo stating that the question was removed and why. They should be able to reply to the e-mail from Yahoo. Other than that I think we should be able to find a way to file a complaint. Effectiveness in numbers.

When they sent you an e-mail informing you that the question was deleted, didn't they also give you an address to send a response to? I think that they do.
My experience is that when you send them a complaint that something was wrongfully removed, Yahoo tends to ignore you. But if enough people keep on complaining every-time something is removed, then maybe they will listen.
We are getting a free service here; it is kind of hard to complain that you will take your business elsewhere and be taken seriously.

I think it is awful that the post was removed and Yahoo should retract the deletion. Some of the crap I have seen posted here should rightfully be removed and it is left on. The post from Debra's husband should not have been removed. If enough of us complain, maybe they would have a change of heart? Doubtful, but it might be worth a shot.

Click on "Forum" at the top right of the page; then, click on the link to Appeal a Violation, on the right side. Normally, this should be done by the person who had the comment removed, and Yahoo will check the account. But see how it goes; maybe they will be able to help. Yahoo is usually very good at responding.

A prayer request is not a question. That is why it was removed. Whatever the good intentions, it is in breach of Yahoos nazi policies.
It does not always take someone reporting something to get it removed. Yahoo creeps around the forums looking for violations.

often it's the fundies that get questions removed, but debra m is a christian.
i can't believe anyone would report something like that.
i don't think we can ask for an exception though, because that would open a huge debate about which questions get exceptions.
who ever reported that SUCKS!
as a pagan, i usually answer all the prayer requests and send positive energy. if you don't like them, just don't read them!

I'm not sure why anyone would bother to report it, but prayer requests ARE a violation of the Y!A Guidelines. They are not questions seeking information. You could appeal, but it would get you no where.
I certain hope Debra M is okay and I wish her all the best.
