Giving a presentation in front of a group for the first time is very difficult, but it does get easier the more you do it. First off know your material more than anything else, second we always have hecklers in the crowd be ready do not let them shake you up, if they start to joke about it. You most likely have a few friends in the audience concentrate on them when you are looking around the room, Stand strong and confident, smile be relaxed, use hand jesters to help relax, you will do fine. believe in yourself

Pick one spot in the back row of the room, or a person sitting or standing there, and project your voice there.
Smile and be happy about the good things you have to say in your speech. Remember you are sharing something that makes you and everyone feel good, so hold on to that good feeling and focus on that good message you want to share.
Remind yourself that you are "thanking" people. If you smile and are thankful, then all your words will come out right.
If you get nervous, stop and breathe, think about sharing those words slowly and clearly where the person on the back row can hear you. Practice using your notes or notecards, so you can recite your speech automatically, even if your mind goes blank or gets so nervous you can't think. Highlight in bright yellow just the important word or topic in each paragraph, so if you lose your place, you can find it again.

If you haven't already, give your speech 2 or 3 times to your family or friends, practice makes perfect, and you feel more comfortable having given the speech a number of times. Good Luck
