I am truly sorry for your loss, and I can offer no glib or easy answers.
If there is a God, and if he is a loving God as Jesus described, anyone who has faith in him has to look for the possibility of love in whatever happens. We know that old people die; we know that sometimes young people die too; and they all leave sadness behind them. Perhaps God loved them too much to leave them here on earth.
Whatever happens, we are judged by our response. Some people rise above personal tragedy and become better and stronger people because of it. Some people are crushed by what happens and find the rest of their lives an uphill struggle.
If now you respond with greater love towards the young people and the elderly round about you, then, whether you believe in God or not, you will have become a better and stronger person.

Dont talk wet, before you go blaming god take a good look at what he has done so far to help mankind. We are resposible for all the bad things in this world NOT GOD. He wiped it cleane in Noahs time and if Noah hadnt stopped him he wasnt going to re populate the earth again. What happened ?The evil started again, satan was let loose to plague us, God threw him out of heaven, the reason is to long to explane here. He went to the trouble and wrote the bible to keep our lives straight but do you read it NO you dont, if you did you wouldnt have asked this question. Adam lost us our right to enternal life, so God sent Jesus to buy that priviledge back for us. This will happen after he has wiped the earth clean again, at Armageddon. He's giving us all another chance, what a wonderful, long suffering loving god he is. Just because children die it doesnt mean god allowed it on purpose and just because he didnt stop it, it doesnt mean he dont care, he does and very much so. But he wont interfere with mans affairs, we caused all the disease in this world by immoral living, spraying crops, exploding the atom bomb, tearing down the rain forests, drugs and alcohol abuse etc etc and you say where is god, why the hell should he help us what have we ever done for him, but he does help us, he's always answered my prayers and he's always there when i have needed him.He doesnt cause little children to suffer we do that very nicely on our own.If you took the time and trouble to understand him you will know why he has turned his face away from some of mankind. If you obeyed his laws and did as he has asked he will stand by you. Give him the chance. he holds out his hand but he doesnt make you take it.Remember, the devil is the ruler of this world not god,he has caused this trouble and gullable mankind has gone along with it. He has set a time limit, when this is up then he will deal with all the wickedness in this world. There will be no more death and disease, be patient it wont be long.

First, my sympathies to your loss. So why do things like this happen?
Depends on your belief. If you're a Bible believer, the Bible mentions in Genesis of the story of Adam and Eve who were created to be immortal, in a well prepared beautiful garden, with no worries of being sick or in danger. They and their descendants would have enjoyed this way of life forever, if it was'nt for their disobedience to the Almighty. They were warned that they would surely die if they disobeyed. They did die, but they did live to about 900 years of age. Though they lost out on their perfect condition, their bodies were still much more superior to ours. In time, their descendants physical capabilities would decrease to what we have nowadays. They also would no longer have the full protection that was given to them in the Garden of Eden, so danger, sickness, and accidents would be a constant threat for the rest of humanity. This, with the help of Satan, God's adversary, has been a problem for the human race with all it's miseries.
Of course, God does promise a reversal of all this in some future date. All those that have died, with God's blessing, will be resurrected to this New World, in perfect bodies. This Judgement Day will last 1000 years so that everyone can truly learn and live God's ways. Satan will be bound up during these times until after the 1000 years where he'll be released to test the human race. Those that fail will be destroyed. Those that pass will live for eternity. Read Revelations for this.
So for now, horrible and unexpected things may continue to happen to us, until the Judgement Day.
Another theory is that we are reincarnated over and over again, pausing in some heavenly realm between lives. We come to experience different things. Being that we're beings of free will, anything can happen that can end a life, and thus we'll have to start over again in another life. Sounds kind of like the "Matrix."
I'll regardless, there has to be some kind of "God" that exists, otherwise, what's the point of living? If the Earth should blow up, than what's the point of keeping the species alive, along with all of it's miseries?

there is a reason for everything and it is not only about the 3month old baby, it is also about the children who die every 3 seconds in africa from starvations, AIDS and Malaria. the death is a bad thing but it must happen at anytime at anyplace, the death of some so close people could be an examination from god for how mush u r believing that it is God welling and it could be a wakeup call it get back to ur creator after the sins kidnapped.
and if you belief in God you have to belief on His destiny. God knows what is the best for us, and as God give parent children God can make them happy and also can make them forget.

I am so sorry you are hurting. I don't know why these sad things happen, but I can tell you what I think. I think God doesn't think these things are so bad because He knows where our loved ones are. God sees time in a straight line from beginning to end. He knows where we are headed, and He knows we will understand in the end. We just have to have faith that He will work all things towards good. I belief that He is fighting evil for us, as the devil has dominion over earth until Jesus comes again. Our job is to keep the faith. I also believe that we can prevent a lot of evil ourselves. If each of us loved and shared what we have with others, maybe there would be no hunger, disease, etc. We blame God for everything and only He knows what we can do to fix the problems that fester into bigger problems like war, etc. I believe that whatever happens God will make it good in the long haul. I don't understand people blowing themselves up in God's name. I don't think they really know God.
You say if there is a God, so it sounds like you doubt He exists. If He doesn't exist then nothing in this life is real, none of us has a soul, so we don't really exist either, and nothing is important anyway...not the baby your family, or my family, as we are all just empty vessels of clay with nothing inside, but I like to believe that God missed these souls and wanted them with Him.

that's a matter of no language, this kind of things, you dont have any language to express the sorrow, the grief. but one thing is He knows what you don't know. So wherever the baby is better than what he would have been in his mother's lap. yeah the mother might be feeling sorry, that's more than normal. but be patient, that's what He wants. He doesn't rule his empire according to what an individual thinks. He told you to be patient and trust him, whatever he does, he knows abou that. not you, not me, nobody. I'm not talking about any religion and i'm not proving my religion. but there is a god, there is ONE, he's just worshipped by different people, in different ways.
So my suggestion will be to have patience while u r in trouble, trust him, you'll find the path.
Tell me what other place you have to get peace in this kind of situation except throwing yourself to God's mercy.
And definitely the baby is ok now, God is with him, the baby needs nobody else

Yes there is most defiantly a God.Please be realistic...if everyone lived for ever the world would cease to exist.I fully appreciate your sorrow at the loss to you and your family and friends of those nearest and dearest. But this may be the end of life as we understand it here on earth but there is another life after death which is spiritual. When the very young are taken from us perhaps you should consider the possibility that it was a blessing in disguise to save them from suffering.

For goodness sake grow up. Someone or something created the universe and set in motion the physical a chemical rules that govern the process involved in the movement of physical objects, chemical reactions and the formation and evolution of life. What happens after that is chance who or what created these things does not have a personal interest in individuals or even species as manifestly obvious from the evidence you yourself have just presented in your question and the fact that over 95% of the species that have ever lived on earth are now extinct

I believe there is a God. He brings people into our lives to shape who we are, no matter how brief their lives may be...we were created to serve him by loving others giving grace and forgivness even when we don't want to. We are his hands and feet. Your mates baby and your grandparents are now serving him in heaven. Imagine he gave is ONLY son...who was beaten beyond recognition and hung on a cross so that we can have forgiveness for all our screwups! We have to only turn to him and ask for forgivness. His forgivness is immediate and unconditional. The answer is so much bigger than what will fit in this box... this is only the beginning. You should seek more answers at your local bible based church.

Nope no god. We have no idea what created the Universe and have never been anywhere other than the Earth, Moon and the other few planets in our solar system by proxy with probes so I think it's safe to safe no one that has lived or is currently alive knows. Religions say they do so they are obviously wrong.
