retin-a(tretinoin) doesnt work for me either. i used to have the worst acne for a long time. but then my doctor put me on clindamyacin antibiotics and told me to use a basic benzyl peroxide medicine, and i was applying this 1-2times daily along with antibiotic pills once a day, and after about two months, my ance cleared right up. and now i get a breakout here and there buts thats about it.
but my advise to you would be, try to lay off some of the junk foods and fake meats, and drink more water. and also dont buy any acne medication with salycilic acid, cause it made my face worse. and ask your doctor for antibiotic pills and gel.
good luck

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

trintion 0.025% is the lowest dose. The problem is is that this is a prescription and I would not do anything without discussing it with the doc. There are stronger strengths as well as newer drugs.
Adding OTC drugs on top of what you are using can become too much and cause the acne to be worse...especially if you stop using them.
But I would say that you have passed the evaluation time table and now it's time to modify the treatment.

Clearasil and Purpose are both dermatologist recommended face washes. They cleanse your face without being too abrasive.
If your face is peeling, it could be that your skin is sensitive to the Clinique face wash. Oil of olay face lotion is good for dry skin and doesn't clog pores.
Your acne may get worse before it gets better if you are using certain acne treating products, like differin or acutane.
I recommend you make a follow up appointment with your doctor. It could be that the product you are using is just not working. There may be something else on the market that he could prescribe (topical or oral) for you, which works better.

probably because the stuff your using is way to harsh for your skin type. go to a dermatologist. i had bad achne and it got better. plus it has to do with internal things to. do you eat a lot of junk and sweets? cut down a lot on those. dont drionk so much sodas. and also are you stressed a lot? that was my thing i was always stressed so why dont you have a spa day. put on some soft music an let everything go! chill out. thats what i can think of but seriously your best bet is to see a dermantologist! they know there facts. if your skin is peeling then your burning it off! the products your using are drying out our skin way too much!

I have had acne for 3 years. It's nearly gone now. I started trying to get rid of it about 3 months ago. Here's what I did: I use over the counter acne cream(benzoyle peroxide), I exercise daily around an hour, and I cut down on sugar. Also I wash my face about 5 times a day just to make sure its clean. Use the acne cream twice a day. It has to do alot with being unhealthy, not just with having dirty skin. Belive me, only keeping your skin clean will not work. You have to really take care of yourself to get rid of it.

whats up do not allow individuals get you down. in case you word someone wih extra suitable epidermis than you in elementary words remind your self that it is not any longer the outdoors that concerns. all of us have different epidermis kinds.... it is not any longer only a healthful eating routine that stops spots, once you've obviously dry epidermis you do not have as a lot oil clogging your pores and for this reason a lot less spots. If, like me, you've oily epidermis regrettably you'd be extra susceptible to spots. yet in basic terms because your epidermis is extra oily do not do away with each of the oil. Drying out your epidermis will in basic terms make it produce even extra oil. After cleansing MOISTURISE! it facilitates to top off the oil lost at the same time as washing your epidermis :) and there are various of significant zits treatments. in case your zits is fairly extreme you may want to continuously pass and word a wellbeing care professional. good success xxxx

Unfortunately there's no cure for acne.. it's a matter of genetics, hormones and some say, the diet you follow.
I have acne, not severe, mild, but I found that, in my case, if I eat certain fruits, snacks, avocado I break out...
I use the Dan Kern's Regimen... and has brought great results....

There are lots of things that cause acne...chocolate, sodas, not enough water....be sure to drink plenty of water. Also, it is very important to keep your face clean and your hands off your face. The more you touch and rub your face, the worse it will get. I use simple cleansers that have salisyc acid. Good luck!
