My credit is between 580 and 602 but I have no open debt. I keep getting turned down because I don't have any revolving accounts. I can't afford to pay for a secured card. I only want a credit card to build my credit back up. Please only honest answers, no smart asses.

The only companies that are going to give you an unsecured card with you having poor credit are going to be those that will cost you a lot of money. Most will require you to pay various fees and so forth. Some have very large fees they want up front.

Here is an example of a pretty bad one.

If you want to rebuild your credit then go for a secured credit card that has reasonable terms. If you cannot afford to get one right now, then save your money till you can get one. The simple act of saving money is something you need to be working on anyway.

try a credit card that your bank offers. For me, I bank w/Bank of America, and I applied for a regular credit card, "knowing" I would get turned down to get a great offer on a secured card, 99 down and 500 limit. But they called a few days after I applied to inform me they can give me an unsecured platinum mastercard, I could NOT believe it. and my credit is way below 600 in the low 500's 400's REALLY!!!!!!!! The only thing I can think of is that they either value me as a customer, OR... (I had alot of things deleted on my credit report) I told him I was working on rebuilding my credit and I will be paying off all my debts, he offered me that card. So maybe you will have the same luck as I did. Try w/your bank and sometimes you have to apply for a great card "knowing your not gonna get it" to get a limited offer on a secured card like i was trying to do. GOOD LUCK HOPE THIS HELPS!
Or start w/a dept. store card. something small.

your credit score is indeed very low....try a fuel/gasoline credit card...they are usually the easiest to get.

Once obtaining this card..charge all your fuel on it and ACTUAL PAY THE BILL IN FULL...in @ 6 months you will have built up credit
