Anybody know a good recipe for broccoli florets that is low calorie? I usually just add salt, pepper, garlic, and olive oil, but I am following a diet and would like to skip the oil...or at least use no more then a teaspoon of it. Any ideas?

Sure, skip the frying and steam them instead. If you want some flavor, try sprinkling liberally with lemon pepper seasoning. Adds a slight hint of tang without any calories.

Olive oil is a good fat, but if you want to cut it a little, just use Pam olive oil spray (zero cals) and put the ingredients you mentioned above in a skillet. Lemon pepper is good on it too. Steaming is fine too, but it gets rid of a lot of nutrients.

i usually steam mine and then sprinkle with lemon pepper and squeeze of lemon juice. i really don't ever cook my broccoli with any oil at all. i love the broccoli wokly prepackaged stuff in the grocery store in the bagged salad section. poke a couple holes in the bag and nuke it for 3 min and steam broccoli to perfection.
