Definately sciatic nerve pain, and it does not normally go away on it's own unless you stop using it, and that is not very easy to do because of it's location. IF you have previously taken anti-inflammatory medication with no ill side effects they will help. Aleve is better than tylenol or ibuprofen in this case. If it is not better after resting and anti-inflammatory you need to consult a doctor.

It could be a few things. You said you did irregular cardio recently. This could be effecting it but its unlikely. You also said you lifted a big screen TV. If lifted improperly you could have slipped a disk which could explain the numbness and the pain, you could also have pinched a nerve which could also explain the symptoms. You might also have sciatica, a condition in which the main nerve in the legs becomes impinged. I would recommend seeing your regular doctor and get a referal for a neurologist. You might also look into seeing a chiropractor. The neurologist and the chiropractor should be able to tell you whats wrong. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!

It sounds like to me that you herniated one of the discs in your low back. Most likely you need to see a doctor who get you on some medication to help with the pain. I would also recommend physical therapy, no matter what is causing the back pain. If it is a disc that is causing your problem, thenyour therapist could show you some exercises to help to reverse the herniation.
I would recommend you doing an exercise called the press-up, you can find it here: http://www.dcdoctor.com/pages/rightpages_wellnesscenter/homeexercises/back/exercises/exer_back_ex_pronepress.html
I would hold each repetition for 5 seconds and do 20 repetitions at a time. I usually recommend my patients do these every two hours if they are helping. Good luck!

Sounds as if it be sciatica, which is a trapped nerve in your back.
Physio can help.
A visit to the doctor should be considered as he/she could give you stronger painkillers and arrange for further treatment if needed.
Good luck
