Actually, my back started hurting BEFORE my stomach did. It felt like my back was going to get split in half. The pain was vertically about half-way and just a bit to the right of the spine. I only knew it was a stomach thing after it started hurting and the pain went away after vomiting the meat. Not really sure where the liver is but I am worried.

The stomach is actually half hidden underneath the liver (viewing from the front) and both are at about the middle of your chest cavity. But, don't go on my advice alone.. I'd hit up WebMD if I were you.

Check out some anatomy--your stomach is on the left side of your body and your liver is on the upper right side of your body.
If your back hurts that is a different issue than a bad piece of beef.

Food borne illness typically don't involve the liver as the food hasn't been processed through the body yet.
