Alright, my name is Phil, and I just have a question...

If religious "wars" have been frowned upon for the last half-century, why aren't "political" wars whined about so much?

Seriously, the Cold war....

Vietnam was a war over basic principles and ideas... Democracy versus Communism, no? *propaganda version* "Freedom versus slavery!!!"

The war in Afghanistan is a "holy war"; the christian nations fighting in the middle east. Two totally different ideas: Christianity versus radical Islam

*propaganda version*

"Freedom versus slavery!"

Don't get me wrong, I think war in general is a bad thing, but what is the difference between the two??

Thanks in advance,

Phil

The entire basis of religious wars is the difference of cultures...

For instance, Christianity pretty much teaches the free will thing; you choose if you want Christ, we don't really care.

Islam teaches to kill anyone who does not accept Allah.

Just too different?

Because religious wars make no sense, because religion itself makes no sense. Political wars at least make a little sense, but not from the eyes of religion.

The war in Afghanistan is not Islam against Christian, it is extreme Islam against everybody that is not extreme Islam also. There is also countries that take advantage and use the extremist for their own interests. Today Nato has proof Iran has been arming the Taliban. Iran wants to drag the West into a war to bring on the coming of their Messiah. There is civil war in Gaza. These people are all one religion. Even if you say you have no religion, you have a belief system.
During the second world was people worshiped Hitler. Natzism was a religion (belief system). Whether you are
Christian, Atheist, Wiccan, Hindu, etc. you may have to pick the side that comes closest to your belief system what ever it is and fight. I think we are in a third world war now and the quicker we realize this the quicker it will be over. I think there is no difference between a religious war and a political war. It is still the clashing of ideas, (belief systems) and innocent people are the ones that get hurt. War is a bad thing, but sometimes you have no choice but to fight, or in the long run more people suffer.

I hear a lot of whining on both side of the question. The first thing the Afghanistan war is a "Holy War." because them attacked us. We are christian and they are radical Islam. The radical Islamic whine when we call for c (I can not say the word for the Islamic all but wet down their leg) yet they call for a jihad against us. As for the propaganda, everyone uses them and if you only see what the Christian's use then you are a racist. Pure and simple, only God can forgive.

Religious wars have been frowned upon since Cain and Able. The war in the middle east right nowis not a political war.It goes all the way back to Abrahams sons Ishmael{arab} and Isaac{christian}.You can look on line and go all the way back through history and it will explain it all.Plain and simple jealousy that turned two brothers against each other.

Hello!!?!....you got your fact wrong my dear...please do a proper checking in your question and research before you can state any confident statement, like what you have just done... no, i mean NO religion gives a green light to kill if you don't believe in that particular religion.

As far as i know it.. Islam gives you freedom to choose what religion you want there are no forces, if you want to believe in Islamic values, go ahead, if you think it's nonsense, it's okay..it's your choice, just don't go around and humiliating someones religion that you don't have a deep understanding of...

it's like, you claim you know the alphabets all from a-z..but in actual fact you only know..."abcdfhikmopqstwyz" see how you miss a certain alphabet in between. So i think this is what a lot of people are not aware of...

So that is why some Muslim i know out there are patient enough to take crap from people whom are so ignorant, but claims to know it all. Because in actual fact they don't.. so some Muslim just laughs about it...

The war thing happens when some Muslims had enough crab, plus i believe the whole religious war wouldn't have started, it sparked the anger, when the Muslims were blamed for something they didn't do... You know so they claim...
which we all have to respect and investigate plus listen to their part of the story, which we didn't, now it's just too late.

Plus to answer your question, now days people like to create sensation, make news out of nothing into something. For example, check out what happen to CNN? all about war, 24/7... people are seriously getting so tired of it.. enough is enough.

have you heard of laws of attraction? its like the more you speak of something , the more it will happen. you are attracting these things... so always speak of positive things, instead of negative. Try it we can help make changes... well, that is if you are concern of wars and innocent people dying.

Political and religious wars are both identical in their determination to annihilate opposition. The difference is that, political war is all about disagreement of principles or ideals and does not involve the killing of innocents while religious war is about suppressing the right to freedom of religion and mercilessly killing, in the name of God, all those who do not accept their doctrine or tenets.

First be conscious... the JEWISH are god's chosen human beings. Israel (stated IsRAel) became given to them via God yet taken faraway from them long after the bible became written 2nd Israel (stated IsrEel) became given to the Jewish via the UN and Allied powers after WWII. third there are Arabs/Muslims that stay in Israel as properly as Jews that stay in Arab lands. i think of for the Hezbollah, Hamas, The Talaban (sp?), and the PLO this is a non secular conflict. For Israel this is a secure practices of sovereinty (sp?) and political conflict. If it have been a real "non secular conflict" then Israel might have kicked out all the muslims residing of their united states of america. in spite of the undeniable fact that, considering that Israel hasnt accomplished that, I dont think of you may call it a real "non secular conflict". Quote the bible all you decide on, to lable a conflict non secular or no longer, faith must be the biggest motivator in struggling with via the two factors, in spite of the undeniable fact that it is not the case.

political wars are "whined about" a lot actually...

The Vietnam war was probably the most controversial war in American history.

There were a ton of anti-war protesters during the Vietnam war, and there are a lot of people who are against the war in Iraq today.

There both a differance in cultures, that's what starts any wars. If british people flew plans into us, we wouldn't have blamed britain, we'd have blamed twenty englishmen. but it was one from some where very foriegn to us and we didn't care how to pronouce their names, we wanted blood. that's what happened there, and it was wrong.

It is all a crock, all wars should be illegal. I say put to death all those who declare war, and the future declarers may think twice about it, hopefully.
