Have you seen this e-mail:
Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing Red every Friday. The reason? Americans who support our troops used to be called the "silent majority." We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God, country and home in record breaking numbers. We are not organized, boisterous or overbearing.
Many Americans, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of America supports our troops. Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday, and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a message that every "red-blooded American" who supports our men and women afar, will wear something red.
The first thing a soldier says when asked "What can we do to make things better for you?" is. "We need your support and your prayers." Let's get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example, and wear something red every Friday.
What a great idea! Will you do it?

Ah my dear precious ones - I am a long time letter writer and care package sender, etc. My Congress persons - both State and Federal as well as my Govenor and the President have received my thoughts on a regular basis.

I have helped with letters to military personell and support of folks in more ways than you could imagine. I live in a Military town.

But when dear ones whose lives are in danger, believe they are forgotten - why not be a reminder to all that they are not forgotten?

Peace.

I'm with Freakzilla and wingshooter (well there's a sentence you don't hear everyday). This is a sweet idea, but it's not very useful. If you really want to support the troops, put your money where mouth is: adopt a soldier.

It doesn't have to cost you a lot - there are lists at these sites of items that most soldiers need - most are basic and very inexpensive. Even if you can't send packages, at least send letters. THIS is supporting your troops.

No, it's stupid! What I do is send them care packages. My son spent two years there (4 combat tours) and is now headin back again for a third year (totaling 6 combat tours) and we have not only supported him but everyone in his squad, and we have done so twice a month sending care pacakges and getting them what they want and need and then some!

You really want to support them, write your congressamna dn get our military a pay raise, and I mean a decent one, mot of the lower enlisedted ranks live at the national poverty level! Do that instead of wearing red, and you'll have done something constructive!

that would support the troops as much as the magnetic bow on a car . If you want to support the troops send them packages , start or give to a charity , help veterans , this crap of people creating this stuff to pretend they support troops is making me sick

If you want to help them then write to your congressmen and press them to pull our troops out of GWB's Iraqi meat grinder.
