I rub mine with brown sugar and grill seasoning, wrap them in foil, and bake them for 2 hours before grilling them. I only grill them to set BBQ sauce on them, so it only takes a minute. If you want more info, I've added the link that I use, but my rub recipe is a little different.

Don't Boil! marinate them, for a good hour or so, over night is the best, for both pork and beef, don't throw marinated, sear them on the grill on each side, then make your self a foil pocket big enough to put your ribs in, then pour your marinade over the meat, pull off the fire put on side of pit where you can smoke them, they will fall off the bone.......

I agree with "SandyPaws", I am a former chef and cooked my share of side and back ribs, back ribs from the loin closest to the back, hence the term "back ribs".
Marinating is nice wet or dry, and the a trip to the oven for 45 minutes, and then finish on the BBQ with your favorite sauce, just make sure to leave the saucing for the last 5-10 minute as it burns quickly, a lighter version, tone down your favorite as then it glazes not coating the ribs and then the chance of burning is less.

this may be a recipe for ribs a minimum of an inch thick (if thinner ribs exchange recipe to incorporate halfing those situations) I marinate all ribs in italian salad dressing after putting the ribs on a baking pan and at the same time as they bake at 450 for twenty minutes I take the marinade and combine it with my bar b que sauce 3 tablespoons of minced garlic and freshly floor pepper. I initiate the ribs on the fatty component down and finally end up after turning and basting 4 situations with the rib bones down I take them out turning the oven to 275 and pour each and every of the grease off the baking pan and employing tongs I re dip each and every of the ribs interior the hot bar b que sauce and set back on the pan the different way up, and that i repeat each and every hour for 3 hours turning it down 25 tiers with each and every turn and then I slather the the remainder of the sauce on them for the final time and enable them to take a seat down

Bake them first. Low, moist heat for at least 2 hours. Definitely don't boil them.
Use baby back pork ribs.

For babybacks, do not boil or bake! Take & sprinkle both sides with your favorite dry rub, then wrap in plastic wrap & keep in fridge overnight. Take & brush with a little butter, then wrap in foil & place on grill over medium coals. Grill for about 3 - 4 hours - saucing last hour or so.......Mist with apple juice if they look like they are getting dry.....They will fall off the bone!!
