Yes, it is. I don't know why they are here either. I do not visit athiest chat rooms and tell them that they must believe in God. I believe that they are here because deep inside they know that there is a God. They do not want to go to hell.

There are so many ATHEISTS here because the lack of a belief in God is the flip side of the coin of religion and spirituality. Its an open forum - anybody can respond to questions.

Think of it as the Lord is still knocking on the door of their hearts, and He still is. Otherwise, they would not be here. Now whether or not they open up their heart to Him is a different story. We can't control that. But what we can do is wave our banner high and continue to spread His message. That is our greatest purpose.

That's right!!! Religion is a fascinating subject. The history and evolution of Abrahamic religions is most interesting. The profound spirituality of the Vedic religions, like Hinduism and Buddhism, is a useful study in trans-personal psychology.
Why are you here? To show everone how right you are?

Why is it that nayone who does not follow your beliefs is an Athiest?
I am not a Chirstian but I am not an Athiest either. I have my beliefs which are just as valid - for me - as are yours for you.
There really are not just the two types of people in the world.

We like to debate (some of us - some of us like to insult. They just like to show off at how big they are) and there's nothing stopping us from coming by - its not called 'Pro-Religion and Spirituality'.

ok we've hit all three of the drinking questions for the day. *drink*
This is THE most asked question in R&S.. a little hint.. if you go to type a question up and you see some blue lettered sentences, it means it's a REPEAT.. good grief, this one is so old it should be banned from being asked.

Here's a little bit of info: Just because someone is atheist doesn't mean they haven't studied religions in significant enough detail to make a contribution in here, and Buddhism... considered basically atheist. Now what was your question again?

because we do have the freedom of choice..I also believe because there are so many theories out there regarding how the universe became, what the Bible means, where we came from...I believe there is also mass confusion on what is the truth....if you look at all the religions, can you honestly say you would take the time and try to analyze all of them and then choose? Probably not. I raised my children the way I was raised and when they became older they chose....that is what it is ...a choice....

Cheers!
See 6 million previous answers to the same question, all of which will say something along the lines of "this section is about beliefs; including the belief that god does NOT exist"
[OK I exaggerated slightly with the "6 million" but it certainly seems that way]
