Please, don't give up. If you're one of the few that think anything will change, no matter what your opinion is, you're wrong.
Things started to change thanks to those who called and emailed politicians and "leaders". They (or at least some of them) are re-thinking about selling the country out for a bunch of votes because we let them know that they're gonna loss "the entire bussiness" if they don't listen to the american mayority.and go on with this treason called "comprehensive reform".
Keep calling, emailing and compaigning. That's what I do every single day and my family (most inmigrants like me) and my daughters (both born in the USA) are helping me in this committment.
I came to America because I love America, its culture, its people, its way of life. I don't wanna live in Mexico and my town is becoming a mexican town.

You migrated here the same as my grandparents did and your just the kind of American we want here . I called and called too and will continue to call . We can't let our Congress and our President sell the US out from under us . If we do the Corporations and LaRaza win and it won't be our America any longer !!!!

If your daughters were born in the US, then you can apply for a Green Card. I am a (legal) alien, and though I don't want to live here forever, I still think that there should be some control on who comes into the country (any country).
Unfortunately, illegal immigrants allow themselves to be paid very little and they do affect the overall unemployment / economy of the country. In addition, I am highly against those who do not make an effort to adapt to the country (such as speaking English). It seems obvious that you are not either one, but there are so many who are.
I believe there should be some control. I, like you, want to make a decent living which my country does not provide, but doing it illegally does causes things to be hard for everyone.
I understand life is hard in Mexico (or wherever other illegal immigrants come from), but I also realize how much richer a culture can get when mixing with other cultures. Just don't screw things up for the rest of us.
P.S.: A lot of illegal immigrants also make things a lot harder for me because more laws and regulations are being passed in my disadvantage. Not to mention that mentioning I am South American raises an automatic red flag on most ppl.

If your going to do that. Tell them to fix the system. Kicking out the illegals will not help.
And try using Latin American or Hispanic. Just because they speak spanish does not mean they are from Mexico.

NO! My family came here LEGALLY and had to go through an intense path and journey to get here LEGALLY. It's not fair if illegal immigrants just magically become citizens. That's wrong! I don't care if illegals hopped the border in order to have a kid in the US and then use them as ways to become citizens overnight. No, that's really not fair what illegals do. People like us came here LEGALLY and had to go through the long process of becoming citizens. Mexico's foreign policy towards Americans is harsher than ours against illegal immigrants. Stop making legal Americans feel guilty and do it the right way. Apply for a green card and go from there!

I write a letter weekly, e-mail and call almost daily to voice my opinion on the issue of illegal immigration. I think that the "vote" spoke volumes to everyone - not enough for an offical vote, for the congress fears being identified as being "for" or "against" it and losing votes.
Anyone voting for this stupid, criminal rewarding bill will lose my vote immediately!
