When you place your mouse pointer over the time (in the bottom right corner) in Windows XP, the date is supposed to show in a little box until you move the pointer away, isn't it?

Why is it then that when I do it, the date only sometimes shows (e.g it won't show now, but did all yesterday), and sometimes doesn't? Could this be a virus on my system? I have all of the updates, and Norton and Kaspersky do show all clear!

So does it show for you?

1. Yes every time
2. No never
3. Same! It shows sometimes, but not every time my computer is on.

I've just right clicked and gone to 'customize notifications' and pressed apply. And it's now showing again - very odd!

I wish I had Paul Allen's number...
I'd also ask him if he was really going to buy Southampton Football Club, coz if so the shares will rise significantly at some point I'd imagine.

Handsome Rosham: I think that might be a good explanation, you mean if it's busy processing, it doesn't show. But if its sitting idle it does? That could be an explanation.... still I would have thought a system should be able to handle a simple task like showing date on a mouse hover-over.
