I think that a beautiful scene is very important because that has the power to affect, change & alter our own inner moods. I think that the feeling themselves are of supreme importance because of their connection to something outside of ourselves that we can not have power over and that comes and goes like the wind.
Both are important but our feelings may seem to not exist with out the scene being there to create them in us but that is not true the feelings exist independent of the scene and the scene is just what it is. Also, you could say that one would not exist with out the other or that both don't really exist at all. Very good question what made you think of this?

A beautiful scene is more beautiful than the happiness it gives me, because the scene affects more than just me. It affects countless others in many different ways. Each person has their own perspective, and the person who looks at it after I do might just go on to paint a masterpiece of it. So the scene matters more than my particular feelings about the scene.

What a fascinating (and beautiful) question! I think there are two answers, depending on perspective...
To me, the feelings the scene produces are more beautiful because if the scene did not inspire those feelings it would be meaningless to me.
To humanity in general, however, the scene itself is more beautiful because it can inspire feelings of joy in many, many people, not just in myself.

The feelings the scene produces in me. That is something you don't forget even when the actual scene is no longer beautiful.

Tough call. The scene could last a lot longer than your feelings. That makes it more beautiful in general, however, for me personally the feelings themselves might be more beautiful. But then again, maybe not.

the beautiful scene, because while the feelings it inspires in a person are restricted only to that individual and are enjoyed by no one else, a beautiful scene is something that all humanity can enjoy together, in unity. a beautiful scene is something we can all share in :)

They are not distinct; there's a certain feeling among those who hold the anthropic principle to be true that the universe in some respects is self-actualizing. Things are beautiful because they are seen to be beautiful.
The thing admired and the admiration felt are the same opening flower, a complex event happening all at once - a dialogue between the thing admired and the one admiring.

This is making me think of that old question about if a tree falls in the woods with no one to hear . . . beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder. But I don't see how you can compare the stimulus with the response. They are inextricably combined in an event.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder...so it must be the feelings the scene produces in you.

The feelings.
A physically beautiful place can be miserable, and an ugly nasty place can be beautiful.
Beauty is more than meets the eye. It's also more than feelings. Look deeper.
