I am getting ready to start my period, and for like the past 3 days I've been starving constantly. I ate a piece of country ham and an egg for breakfest, a can of raviolies for lunch, and I just ate a 6 pack of those cheese crackers and I am still really hungry. WHat can I do to relieve this hunger, and do you think it is because I am getting ready to start?

(I've been guzzling water to try to fill myself up, but it's not working.)

yeah usually right before that wonderful time of the month we feel like this....Fiber is another great way of filing up...like apples or a fiber supplement twice a day before meals. Eat some more fruits and vegies. I love baked sweet potato its filling and gets rid of my craving for sweets.

Yes, its because you are getting ready to start, but here's the thing.

The country ham and eggs made sense because you need more protein, but once you started eating ravioles and cheese crackers, that's when it all went wrong. You will keep grazing for crackers, chips and anything starchy if you don't truly understand that your body is craving protein.

Switch to lots of raw chopped veggies and an olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette dressing with sliced turkey or chicken and make it a huge serving at that.

Also, you are welcome to a little chocolate, but make sure its the Belgium high end kind and not processed Hersheys. It has a natural chemical in the Belgium chocolate to help calm your cravings and it can be nutritious in moderation.

You are eating too many carbs. but that may be because of your hormone status at the moment.

Try to have lean proteins, like eggs, chicken and fish, they tend to keep you fuller longer.

Drink some green tea. Hot liquids help you feel less hungry and the caffeine content in the tea will act as an appetite suppressant.

I think the key question is to see if you can figure out what you are hungry for. Don't say "I'm just hungry" - pay attention to your body. What you have been eating is dreadful in terms of balanced diet but every body is different.

Often when we get a craving, it is a sign that we are low in a particular nutrient - so if you can identify WHAT you are hungry for, you'll know what your body is particularly missing.

It relies upon on what form of exercising consultation. My guess could be which you're taking in greater energy than you burn. as an occasion, you take in 800-one thousand energy an afternoon and your exercising consultation burns 2 hundred, it wouldnt be useful. attempt doing greater exercising to burn a minimum of 500 energy and additionally attempt weight lifting too.

Hormones. I am having the same problem!

I read that sucking on a mentholyptus cough drop will stop cravings. Also, try brushing your teeth and/or using mouthwash. Most people don't want to eat after they do that.

Good luck!!! :)

i think you shouldnt note the things you eat, because then you always have food on your mind and of course then you eat much. If you just want to get through a diet, then mind what you eat, but dont think tooo much about it.

good luck

do something to distract yourself. Go for a walk. Chew some gum. Sing a song!

The same thing happened to me before I was about to start. Chewing gum helps. I chewed gum a lot and it worked. :)
