Actually I think yo may be misunderstanding this verse he did say you search the scripture give me a minute I'll look it up. Primoa got it. What they didn't understand was that these scriptures they were using were a testiment of Christ. There is another scripture in the new testament that says From a child you have known the scriptures which are able to make you wise to salvation.2 Timothy 3:15 The message of salvation is in the scripture. God can and has opened peoples hearts when they read and they were converted by simply believing the testimony of the bible. But it is the Holy Spirit who gives life to these verses. The letter killeth but the spirit giveth life.

you're incorrect on your incontrovertible fact that isaiah fifty 3 says that. that's in basic terms a misintepretation consistent with a severe bias, and biased mistranslations(in many circumstances) examine the related website, it explains fifty 3 ok. Jesus isn't the jewish messiah, the two by utilizing action/theory and state of being inactive. for example, Christians in great have self belief jesus did no longer have a organic and organic father. wherein case he did no longer even start to qualify, as without a organic and organic father, he could no longer inherit the qualification to take a seat on the throne. apparently in case you're saying that joseph grew to become into the organic and organic father, by utilizing some arguments besides, he might have qualified. yet even then, by utilizing some, the bloodline that mary and joseph the two got here from, grew to become into cursed, and he could no longer qualify via that "vein" yet some argue that the curse might have "run its direction" earlier them. what it extremely is that christians have self belief jesus grew to become into, grew to become into no longer what the jewish messiah is. Jesus did no longer do any of the flaws that *are* important/definitive for the jewish messiah, and what he did do grew to become into questionably suitable/acceptable.

Dear Rob,

We read in Zechariah 4:6, "Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts."

Then we read in John 6:63, "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."

You see God's word (the Bible) is spirit. These are not the words of man but the words of God Almighty. When God speaks, things happen! Now lets look at Romans 10:17: "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

Notice the word "faith" in Romans 10:17. "FAITH" is a synonym for Jesus Christ because He is the essence of faith (Revelation 19:11). We can say, So then Christ cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Being under the word of God is the environment in which God saves an individual. That is the POWER of God!

Here are a few places:

Matthew 9:22: Jesus turned around and saw her, and said, "Courage, daughter! Your faith has saved you."

Mark 5:34: He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has saved you. Go in peace and be cured of your affliction."

Mark 10:52: Jesus told him, "Go your way; your faith has saved you." Immediately he received his sight and followed him on the way.

Luke 7:50: But he said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace."

Luke 8:48: He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has saved you; go in peace."

Luke 17:19: Then he said to him, "Stand up and go; your faith has saved you."

Luke 18:42: Jesus told him, "Have sight; your faith has saved you."

And my favorite, the penitent thief on the cross next to Jesus in Luke 23:42-43:

Then he (the thief) said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom."

He replied to him, "Amen, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise."

With love in Christ.
