I don't really think that much about them. I don't personally know any of them so I don't know if they are good or bad. I just wish that they wouldn't come knocking on my door right after I get in my bubble bath.
Its like a plot against me or something!

Do you mean the Jehovah's Witnesses of ancient times or modern-day Jehovah's Witnesses?
You will get varied responses to such a question and probably the vast majority will be negative. That may even be why you asked. So asking such a question will elicit responses that are quite subjective, don't you think? Good or bad compared to what? And compared to whom? Interestingly, Jesus said to a man who had called him good: "Why do you call me good? Nobody is good except one - God." Mark 10:18.
That man felt that Jesus was "good." Yet many of the religious leaders called Jesus a blasphemer and a glutton. They also said he was demonized and called him a Samaritan (quite insulting when you realize how they felt about Samaritans). And they told him that the wondrous works he did was by means of the power of Satan. Now you and I know what type of man Jesus was, do we not?
So, the best way to get an instructive response to your question would be to take the teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses (in their entirety) and their conduct (which is fairly well-known and reported on) and compare them all to what the scriptures have to say. Jesus once said that "wisdom is proved righteous by its works."
However, be prepared for hot button responses to your hot button question: For example, you may hear: "They don't take blood transfusions!" (insert gasp). A first century parallel to this type of emotional statement might be concerning Jesus when his detractors said: "He eats with sinners!" (insert gasp)

All of the people I know who are Jehovahs Witnesses are good people who are very well studied in their Bible. They are very peaceful, hardworking, and traditional in family values, and I respect that tremendously. I personally don't agree with all of their beliefs, but find them to be exemplary Christians, and I have learned much from them. Can you name any other religion or group who would study with me for over 2 years, give me lots of books, magazines, and personal counsel without ever asking me for a penny, or require me to join their church? In that way especially they really shine. Yet they don't take personal credit for their charitible works, they feel they are just doing what God asks of them. So as a whole, I would say they are good people. Most people are good.

I love Jehovah Witnesses. they are my brother and sisterhood all around the world in 236 lands. we do go to doctors and get the best care that we can for ourselves and our family. I wish people would learn what a cult is. a cult worships man. we worship Jehovah God. if you come to the door naked, you would be the fool. we know what a body looks like. learn what we are all about at www.watchtower.org

I think they are probably good people just very misguided. The JW people I've run into before have been very judgemental and rude, but I'm sure they're not all like that, at least I hope not. I took my son trick-or-treating when he was about 3 or 4 and we knocked on a house whose occupants happened to be JW. She jerked open the door and proceeded to yell at us telling us she didn't honor Halloween because she was JW. Then slammed the door in our faces. My son started crying because he didn't understand.

It is of vital importance to them that their beliefs be based on the Bible and not on mere human speculations or religious creeds. They are normal people with normal problems and concerns - and ratios....some are good, some are not so good.
My personal experience with them is good. I'm not one, but they're fun to talk with and I like em!

Why ask what WE think... go to the BIBLE and read it, then compare it to the JW's belief.
But from my experience, ask them deeper questions and you will find out that they are a cult. They leave out much, till you are full in...
do what the Bareans did in the Bible
Ac 17:11 "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."
The Bareans didn't just TAKE the apostle Paul's word for it or ANY OTHER PERSONS ADVICE, they checked what GOD said in the Bible!!!
Take care

--WE TRY OUR BEST to be good but unfortunately we have the same inclinations that everyone else alive has.
--AS AN ORGANIZATION we are like the ancient Israelites, NOT perfect, who when they followed God's Laws, principles & Christ's example had his approval!(of which we feel we do)
--(Isaiah 43:10-11) “. . .“YOU are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “even my servant whom I have chosen, in order that YOU may know and have faith in me, and that YOU may understand that I am the same One. Before me there was no God formed, and after me there continued to be none. 11 I—I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior.””
--AS A WHOLE , we as a people tell the truth about Jehovah God,& Christ as portrayed in the Bible!
--WE GET along with each other for the most part, but their are a "few"(in comparison to the many who are not) slanderers, fornicators, abusers, robbers, cheaters etc among us that when found to be deliberate & do not wish to change-- are disfellowshipped!
--SO RELATIVELY speaking we are amongst the cleanest religious organizations around.
**WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT by far, for the most part is that we agree on religious doctrine, teachings, and organizational structure:
(1 Corinthians 1:10-13) “10 Now I exhort YOU, brothers, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that YOU should all speak in agreement, and that there should not be divisions among YOU, but that YOU may be fitly united in the same mind and in the same line of thought. 11 For the disclosure was made to me about YOU, my brothers, by those of [the house of] Chlo′e, that dissensions exist among YOU. 12 What I mean is this, that each one of YOU says: “I belong to Paul,” “But I to A·pol′los,” “But I to Ce′phas,” “But I to Christ.” 13 The Christ exists divided. Paul was not impaled for YOU, was he? Or were YOU baptized in the name of Paul?”
--AS FOR THE GOOD we have done as a people for the world and by our individual stand.
--WE BY OUR following this sanction on blood since the 1940's:
(Acts 15:27-29) “. . .. 28 For the holy spirit and we ourselves have favored adding no further burden to YOU, except these necessary things, 29 to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication. If YOU carefully keep yourselves from these things, YOU will prosper. Good health to YOU!””
-- WE HAVE GIVING IMPETUS TO The great need to be careful of taking any blood products by our resolutness to respect life & blood:
--*** g 8/06 p. 12 The Real Value of Blood ***
An Inviting Option
“A growing number of hospitals are offering an alternative: ‘bloodless’ surgery,” reported The Wall Street Journal. “Originally developed to accommodate Jehovah’s Witnesses,” states the journal, “the practice has gone mainstream, with many hospitals promoting their bloodless-surgery programs to the general public.” Hospitals around the world are discovering numerous benefits, particularly to patients, when implementing strategies that curtail the use of blood transfusions. Currently, thousands of doctors are treating patients without resorting to transfusions"
--AS OF around the year 2000 over 100,000 surgeons, anesthesiologist etc. use non blood alternatives in operations--the number is quite considerably more at present!
--WE OWE this distinction to the clear cut information God had inspired on the sanctity of blood in the Bible!
--WE BELIEVE that true religion as Jesus taught and showed should have a great benefit to all mankind!

i would not say undesirable---i could merely say that their ideals are generally way off of what they could desire to be, and, from own adventure, they could be wayyyyyy too pushy whilst they arrive at your door. I as quickly as had 2 JV women come at my door----I with courtesy informed them that i presumed it replaced into positive that they have got been going around speaking approximately God to human beings (i think of i actually mentioned Jesus) yet that i replaced into Roman Catholic and deeply believed in my faith. nicely, one among them have been given to be so pushy that she would not end pushing her ideals on me----it have been given so undesirable that i replaced into getting tempted to slam the door on her---so I prayed and he or she ultimately stopped and left (I additionally felt undesirable for the different woman who replaced into being quiet and considered uncomfortable). i actually do no longer think of however that folk could desire to communicate undesirable approximately Jehovah Witnesses and that they could desire to certainly know them as they could every physique else. certainly, particularly some Jehovah Witnesses seem to steer solid lives, it particularly is plenty from what we are in a position to declare some lot of folk who certainly are "bashing" them.
