I have 2 girls 7 and 10 and they run around our house naked as jay birds 6 days out of 7. They are more comfortable that way. And if i could get away with it I'd do it to. So its perfectly normal for kids to run around naked. They see it as comfort. Not anything sexual. Also the rubbing thing is normal too. Kids dont look at things from our point of view. My 7 year old rubs on the arm of the sofa too. Its ok she doesnt even realize what shes doing sometimes. Its nothing to really worry about. You might still mention it to her parents (unless you have reason to believe something is happening with them) just so they can watch her and see if every thing seems normal. But remember kids do things for way different reasons than we do. They are kids after all and dont have the knowledge we do.

Lots of kids like the run around naked, and even infants have been observed masturbating. While abuse is always a possibility, it (the rubbing) may also be a healthy expression of her sexuality. Despite what many people like to think about little kids being pure angels, most of them have some latent sexuality that manifests itself in behaviors like rubbing. The nakedness might just be as simple as the fact that she doesn't want to wear clothes. I'd say talk to the parents first before assuming the worst.

I agree that she shouldn't be running around the house naked in front of you. Her mom should be told this makes you uncomfortable. She needs to be taught that she can't run around naked anymore. You could also just tell her to put her clothes on.
The "rubbing herself" is actually normal for her age and isn't a sign of abuse. DFC doesn't need to be called. She needs to be told that any of that sort of behavior needs to be done in private.

Oh my goodness. This is completely normal. I ran around the house naked all the time until I was about 9 or 10 and I turned out to be a great person. Nor had I ever been abused. I just loved being naked. Oddly now I won't get naked in front of anyone. It is a free spirit feeling to be naked as a little one.

The best thing to do i think is to notify the mother it may be harmless or it could be more. Some kids come into puberty early REAL EARLY!! Also, maybe the child is actively seeing this kind of behavior at home on a regular basis and if she does this at your house freely who's to say she doesn't do it at other people's house and around other people in other words the wrong people.?

Running around nude isn't normal. The rubbing kind of is. Look up the stages of developement in a psych. book. You'd be surprised. She probably doesn't even know what she's doing. Look it up before you call anyone and make an awkward situation.

I'd say the nudity is more normal than the rubbing. It's a cry for attention. The rubbing may be something her mom needs to hear about--trust me, you'd rather alert the mom of what you saw and find out it's nothing than find out later that it was something when she's older and acting out.

help wipe of table and counter tops, vacuum, make there beds (it just wont be perfect), pick up toys, and dust. also something that might help keep them motivated is to get a poster board or something and divided it up ;one side for the 5 yrd old the other for the 8 yrd old and each time they do a chore they get to put a sticker on there side and who ever at the end of the week gets the most stickers gets a reward! but of course they dont forget to have them show you what the cleaned!!

That is not normal behavior!!!! Talking to her mom about it would be a good first step. Also, you should maybe not allow her to be at your home during bathtime or any other time she might decide to go streaking. Never, ever be left alone with this child to protect yourself from accusations! It is possible that she is not abused but has some other issues causing this or maybe she is just allowed to run around naked at home. By the age of 8, she should be at least a little bit modest. If she's allowed to do this at home, it needs to be made clear to her mother that she is not allowed to do it in your home.

First sit down, and talk to her, see if shes being abused. Next talk to her mom, and father. I really don't think that its not normal, heck i know a lot of kids that did that (i used to) (the runing around naked part) but the rubbing herself, is the one im worried about. Just talk to her mom or her.
