Why do people make God and religion so difficult ?

Its really quite simple yet people want to disect the Bible word for word. I believe in God but some of you people are on the verge of insanity with all your scripture quotes. Do any of you think for yourselves?

The concept in each and every religion is VERY SIMPLE but it is never easy. People just like to complicate it in order to use it to control others or to win a debate or argument.

Essence of most religions is very simple, It is usually virtues like Love, Patience, Peace, Harmony, Kindness, Forgiveness, Humility and such. A 5 year old can tell us that but even an 80 year old find it difficult to perfect them.

But to apply such qualities DURING times of duress, that is about the most difficult thing in existence... like Loving a person who has wronged us, Being Patient with someone who annoys the living Kaka out of us or Having Faith or Hope in the Divine in times of severe challenges. Because most of us, when stressed out or under duress can be very mean and nasty...

So.... If we cannot apply the teachings in the scriptures, I 100% agree with you, its basically useless even if we can memorise the scriptures word for word, in 100 different languages and perfectly eloquent in expounding them. It all becomes just "Hot Air",bcoz they talk the talk.. but don't walk the walk.

Create a Private, Personal, Direct, Divine Relationship with Our Creator and save Your Soul from religion's and atheist's beliefs and start Your journey back home, to Heaven.

God is responsible.

If God exists, then it bears to reason that he would make his existence undeniable with evidence, not emotions. He would also make his will known clearly.

If the bible is divinely inspired then God chose to make it confusing, because it is. If the bible were clear, there wouldn't be thousands of denominations.

If you think about it, it is pretty sad that people are willing to die and kill for a deity who's writing is more difficult to understand than a tax form.

That's great you can think for yourself. However, some people prefer a more "intrusive" approach of being told exactly what to be done, line for line. It also doesn't help when the "instructions" your given have been handed down generation to generation and are hundreds, even thousands of years old, and have exchanged a few corrupt hands along the way.

I agree with you....

Christianity is simple....belief in God, his love and sacrifice for you...strive to be Christlike, a good person, do good deeds....

But, many peoples spirituality is wrapped up in a specific person, or in man's religion, and their religion's interpretation of scripture....many do not have personal conviction of their beliefs...but, just blindly follow their religion's mantra.

yes everuthing is way to difficult why is that why is everythhing so difficult that only persons with higher education can understand a little bit of what is going on and how to fill out the forms ? all those procedures and paperwork and formalitites ..

Yes some of us do. However I don't think chastising someone on how they operate their belief does much good. The spiritual travel is private and we discover at our own pace.
