Has anyone had this done?
I am having the pin removed in 1 week.
I am so afraid it will hurt.
Please Help.

Had it done twice - it's a quick "ouch". Not near as bad as that first day was when it was put in!
Take a dose of ibuprofen or Aleve about an hour before your appointment - that will help too.
And...congratulations - you'll be back a real shoe soon!

Used to work for a podiatrist and we did this all the time, in the office, not in hospital setting. It shouldnt hurt! Each patient we had came in with the same fear, and on the way out couldnt believe how easy it was!
Keep a positive outlook about it and you'll find it a breeze!

I had pins also, they didn't hurt a all! I just think it's the anxiety of it all.

A good physician will block the nerves before removal. You trusted the doctor to put the pin in....use that same trust to let him/her take it out.
