"cite your source" without answering the question, can we then deduce that the *somebody else* 1) failed basic reading comprehension or 2) is dodging the question because he or she has no hope of answering the question or 3) God intelligent designed them to be useless?

Not necessarily.. stop and think about it. Just yesterday, some idiot tried to claim that Neil Armstrong "heard the moon" and became a muslim.
Several people answered the non-question with "cite your source".. several of us also cited the sources that debunk that urban legend.. but that didn't mean that any of the above you cited were true.

see, your question was in this format.

"According to XYZ, ...." <- true, it was cited.
"therefore, did t-rex ate magic apples?" <- not true, magic apples werent mentioned by XYZ at all in your first statement; you made it up. where's your source?

and if you fail to see that, your'e the one who needs to attend logic courses.
