What happen to you (no one personally pointed out)? Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed? So many people seem angry on here today criticizing and everything else... we all have different beliefs and to be honest none of us can prove our cases 100% fact in the eye of Man. As a Christian i see dumbfounded questions on here too, but if you don't know the answer don't try to bring the person down, but just research and try to find the answer out for yourself. God wants us to Love and respect everyone. Yes as Christians we are humans too, but if you get upset clear your head a few minutes and be that light to the world that God wants you to be =)

Remember: There is not enough darkness in all the world to put out the light of even one small candle

God Bless

To see a Christian quote Francis of Assissi and preach tolerance is a breath of fresh air. I have to admit, I have become one of the angry "non-believers". For me, it is because I feel the need to defend my faith at every turn, in spite of the fact that my belief system predates yours by millenia. (Pagan)

Thank you for suggesting tolerance and a sharing of ideas vs the current atmosphere of militant conversion tactics.

Fair enough question.

Generally speaking, I am not angry at all. That said, I think a lot of people that are angry are because they come on here and see people insulting them and putting down their beliefs. That is enough to make pretty much anyone mad. What blows my mind the most, however, is how many people can come on here and act so all-knowing... and they don't even know what they are talking about. Atheists come on here and misquote the Bible or misrepresent religious beliefs to try to prove they are wrong. Christians and Muslims come on here and do the same thing to atheists, or even themselves! It is amazing how many Christians come on here and misquote their own Bible! In short, though, no one likes to be insulted or to see their personal beliefs be misrepresented and attacked. That goes for religious folks AND athiests. Naturally a lot of people are angry.

But you are right. One, it goes both ways. Two, no one can prove they are right 100%, especially in this forum. So I am not sure why people take it so seriously. I enjoy hearing different points of view, and I try to just ignore it when people are too busy thinking up witty insults to make a clear and concise argument. It is no big deal.

I admit I did get mad once, though. An athiest came on here and asked a really good question about why Christians believe in God, but then misrepresented the Christian point of view to try to make them look bad. I called him on it and made an intelligent and logical argument that basically showed that he did not understand the scriptures he was trying to quote and that he was taking them out of context. He picked my answer as the best answer... just so he could insult me in his reply. The funny thing is that he called ME arrogant and insulting and stupid and claimed I didn't answer the question! Being that none of that was true (except, arguably, the arrogant part, but who isn't when they disagree?) it was obvious the REAL reason he asked the question. It had nothing to do with learning or understanding or even debating a stance. It just had to do with picking out someone like myself so he could put them down. Really made his side look bad, but I don't hold it against athiests in general. Most of them are really intelligent and thoughtful people, and of course there are religious people who do the same thing. But with people like that guy hanging out here, it is no wonder so many people are angry.

I agree. Thanks for reminding us of the rampant immaturity and tantrums.

I always go by the saying ...

"If you point one finger at someone, three are pointing back at you."

Better to get the LOG out of their own eyes first before they start to pick on the splinters jammed in someone else's eyes.

Also, they must surrender their mental illnesses to the nearest credible psychiatrist or spiritual counselor and rule-out any psychological pathology. Can not have fair, healthy debates if the inner child within is emotionally unstable. No playground biting or kicking allowed. Amen to that.

Now I AM mad... I've got to sit around and figure out which side of the bed is the "wrong side" and who determined it as such, then evaluate if I actually did get out on that side of the bed, and if it really is the wrong side then I've got to make reparations and repairs to the wall I suppose... and this was supposed to be an EASY DAY.

Now what were you saying about people being angry?

Religion is a touchy subject for most everyone, and a lot of people have strong feelings about it. No one likes to have what they believe insulted, and this goes for both sides.

I do not believe in god...the is no research that proves he exists...he is like Santa or the Easter bunny...your parents lie to you for so long you feel embarrassed and ashamed...so you just go on living a lie so you don't look stupid...even worse, if you really believe that stuff...you should be ashamed! It's so funny...it makes me laugh...don't forget to give 10% of your income, because the lord needs it!...HAHAHAH...how funny.

It's because there are a lot of people who come on R&S and relentlessly preach and insult others. Christians and athiests alike.

I choose every day to avoid anger, I choose everyday to be happy and content. I also cannot fathom why people would choose to be anything else.
