Make sure you wash your hands well with warm water and antibacterial soap. Kittens this young can get sick easily.

Don't interrupt them while they're nursing.

Don't take them out of mama's sight. This may make her nervous, and she may end up moving them to hide them.

Don't touch them too much. Gently petting them for a minute or two two or three times a day is plenty. Touching them more than that at this age can stress them out.

If you find mama moves her kittens any more and doesn't attend to them, keep moving them back with the other kittens, and make a vet appointment for them all. This could be a sign something is wrong with the kittens or the mother.

Weigh each kitten and record their weight. Each day, they should each gain 1/4 to 1/2 ounce every day. If the kittens ever lose weight or don't gain for more than one day, they have to go to the vet, or you are in danger of losing them.

If the mother doesn't seem to be feeding them, or if they lose weight, an adult needs to nurse the kittens with a bottle. If you have them post back here, I can let them know how.

yes you can but be warned if mom cat doesn't like the box she will move them to where she wants them unless you keep her confined. just talk to her in the process but first put her in teh box and then put the kittens in--- make sure there is plenty of room for the kittens and mom

Yes, it is ok to move the kittens. Make sure that you put the mother in with them right away. It is possible that the mother will move them again if she doesn't like the location where you moved them to, so you want to make sure that she (the mother) feels safe & secure in the new location.

I would not move them so soon. Allow the mom cat time to adjust and bond with them. Any move you make could tramatize her and the kittens... and you run the risk of her rejecting them or trying to move them herself.
