Well that's a line of thinking I never heard before. Quite an interesting spin. I guess plenty of other people have given up more than jesus and god giving up his only son. Well said.
Besides, I didn't ask anybody to died for me and I never would...

it is more then obvious that you have no clue what you're saying. You don't understand the bible or have you read it?
He died for all our sins everyone so that we can be forgiven and spend eternity in heaven. I suggest that you read the new testament and perhaps the old testament to understand or answer your question. Or go to church and research the answer I know you'll find it. As for the suffering the whip alone was very painful the cat of nine tails(made from glass and metal) that would tear your skin right off your back, you try it. Also he didn't just hang there he was nailed to the cross, you try that. And while you are trying all this first get the living crap
beat out of you. And then try taking on all the sins of the world.
And this for all you who think Jesus was just a man and don't believe its a shame for you.

You're funny. Probably, you haven't, (and wouldn't), see "The Passion of the Christ," or read the Bible account of the entire process. It doesn't make sense that you would come here, and ask for an explanation for why people regard what Jesus did as the ultimate sacrifice.
Crucifixion was the most cruel punishment the Romans could think of. It was a suffocating, prolonged, painful, dehydrating death. When you go, don't you want to go quickly? Isn't taking three hours to die three hours too long?
Not minimizing what parents do, they only do it for their own children. Christ did it for all of mankind. Even though they had rebelled against God.
Parents aren't perfect. Jesus was.
Also, no one ever said Christ suffered longer than anybody that ever lived. That is never spoken of in Scripture, either. But he did suffer for sins He never committed, and did it for us. Holocaust victims weren't suffering with us in mind.

He became symbolic to human suffering to the point of martyrdom. However, it's not him I have a problem with, it's many of his followers. He was a great spiritual leader and teacher as are many others in history, such as Buddha, Gandhi, Sister Theresa.
I am not religious and I spent many years of my life hating people who tried to beat his messages into my head. However, I now try to see where religion is RIGHT but I still often bristle with antagonism when religious "leaders" clearly have their own agenda and that agenda includes the almighty dollar.
The fact is that EVERYONE has their "cross to bear" in life. Everyone knows suffering. But the greatest lesson of all is forgiveness to our persecutors, which is a principle in most religions and most certainly one that Jesus Christ himself embodied in his life.
Peace.

Frist of all I think you need to go to chruch. Why would you ask that. Jesus is wounderful. I know other poeple die for others but its different and also if jesus didnt die for us the world would be a crazy messed up place. I have never heard anyone ask that question that is not a question people ask. Read the bible and if you have anymore questions like that it will most likely answer them.

He did do it voluntarily, He could of called a host of angels to save Him if He wanted. Also you have not idea how He suffered. The lesser was the physical sufffering, which has been described as one of the most painful ways to die . The spiritual suffering was million of times greater taking on all of man's disgusting sins that seperated Him from His Heavenly Father during that time.

In my religion he was a prophet and didn't die on the cross. He was bringing the message of God to people in that area just like every other prophet. He didn't die on the cross and all of that was just made up to control people. He was a great man and I have so much respect for all prophets, but praying and worshiping a man is just the opposite of what God intended. Died for our sins? What does that even mean? No one can give you an answer because its just made up. Each is judged by their own actions and no one can absorb your sins. Sounds like a lack of accountability to me. You have a good point and some good questions.

Wait wait wait. You have to take into consideration that he did not just DIE, he died for everyone's sins. Now, remember how it felt the first time you stole something? The intense feeling of guilt? Remember the suffering? Multiply that by everyone in the world, and that was what he felt as he died. He took their guilt, the blame, and the suffering. Now don't tell me he isn't special. *shrugs* Anyway, hope I helped!
*sigh* I've got to remind myself to stop answering serious questions, and to keep to answering the questions poor twelve year old girls post during puberty. :D I'm joking.

Normal human are ready to give away their life to people who they love so much. It can be their parents, friends or Love.
But who ready to give away thier life for worthless lot, heartless, cruel, vicious lot. May be some no good loser who have nothing better to do.
But a great men to kindle the hearts of such humans of that degraded level with love for all, sacrificed his life. He knows there are more fools than wise, there are still more cruel morons than kind hearted, but still for that minority lot he gave his life.
People call themselves chirstians but have no love in them. There are only few christians in the entire world like Mother Therasa who really spread love of Christ by pure untainted service to manking, not in the motive to spread christianity but to spread the love of Christ.
Such Love is indeed a rare gift to mankind and such a life is a sacrifice indeed.

Yes, many have died for others, but none of them was GOD.
You see, God drew up the plan to save this planet before this world was created. He could have eliminated it at the beginning, but God--the ruler of the Universe--chose to become a baby, suffer the tempatations of sin, and die a substitutional death.
You see, He could have let us perish, but He becomes the Second Adam. This is revealed in a last-day Bible code.
