I'm relieved about this option!! Although I wish it would allow me to block viewing their questions and answers.
Personally, I like the idea of getting some of the looney out of here. That way, maybe it can be more fun than screening through a lot of nasty questions.

No, there is plenty of looney stuff going on without having to put up with abusive speech, hate speech, pornography, or stalkers. I would not block someone for simply being looney, or having a different opinion from mine....

Not necessarily. I have a clone that is a level 4. They've been here for months and yahoo does nothing. They're a very mean christian. Blocking that person has been very useful for my friends and I.
(edit) Danni, yes, from what I understand, if you don't answer enough questions in a given week, they will remove the top contributor banner. I don't know the exact number because...it's never happened to me, sad addict that I am.
Just keep contributing and you should get it back.

It does, but I've only blocked two people - Elizabeth Shue and Penelope Cruz.
I have to say, it really felt good to show those two what's what around here!

There are some users who like to send curse-laden emails. I've already blocked at least one of those.

I haven't blocked anyone. I don't mind a difference of opinion, I just can't stand it when people are flat-out nasty to each other.
