ok so I have lived in the US for 3 years on an A2 visa, I left the US in march to go back to england for good, I left m boyfriend here. I came back in may on a 3 month visitors visa to visit my boyfriend. However, I found out I was pregnant, and my boyfriend and I got married the other day. I am worried that immigration is going to mess me around with paper work, and I'l have my baby here, and then I will have to go home or something. But if the baby is born here it is a US citizen and I can't get the baby into the UK to stay. How long will the paper work take? I am 15 weeks pregnant now.

Depending on where you are applying for your visa for. It might take about 3 mths to obtain your visa. You can start applying for your green card now and since you have a visitors visa they won't kick you out. You can still stay here once they have approve your visa and when you baby is born all the baby need is just a passport to go back to UK with you.

I don't know on a timeline for your papers but if you are a citizen of England, so is your baby so you wouldn't be seperated from the child even if you have to go home.

A newborn baby can travel on his mother's passport. Take the time to get him an American Passport then take him home. He will hold dual citizenship until he is old enough to chose which country is his. While you are home get a British passport and then everything is copacetic for him. You will have to jump through hoops to get your papers.

The State department is back up because they have to issue passports for anyone traveling to Canada or Mexico, they lifted that restriction until September, but it takes up to 12 weeks or more

If you are married I believe you can stay here to obatin citizenship thru marriage if your boyfriend is a citizen. Either way the kid gets citizenship via "Jus Sangre" (by blood) if your boyfriend is a citizen

Call immigration and ask them these questions. If your married to an American citizen, you shouldn't have a lot of problems. Good luck to you.
