cream of mushroom soup, it sounds really gross I know, but it actually gives it a great flavor, my kids even loved it.

Evaporated milk mixed with an equal amount of water. Reconstituted powdered milk. Half and half with a little water added. Soy milk. Heck, even chicken stock might work. You can make a white sauce with that. :) I assume you mean homemade mac and cheese, correct? If you're talking about the stuff out of the box, I wouldn't use chicken stock for that. :)

You need to make something else or go to the grocery store. I keep shelf stable soy milk for backup when I run out of milk, but a store is less than two blocks away.
Water and yogurt or soy milk would be the closest match.

You can actually make it with just a bit of oil and using water to moisten. It won't be exactly the same, but if the cheese flavor is strong enough, it will still be good. Or if you have canned milk, you can use that.

Do you have sour cream or cream cheese? Both are great in mac and cheese. I would add a couple tablespoon of either of these.

I had that same problem once, and made it according to the directions, but instead of milk, I just used water. If you use just enough to make it so it's not watery, it's still pretty good. :)
