Four things you can do, first you can roll your clothes. I have done this and it does work terrific. Roll very, very tightly. Second, there are some vacumn seal machines (they have them at target and the like) that take all the air out of bags. I have also done this and it works terrific. You would be surprised how much room air takes. Third, cut way down on the number of shoes, they take up the most room. Finally, pack a lot less and rinse your clothes on vacation.

Try to find clothes that you can mix and match: separates!
Have shorts/pants /skirts that would have tops (blouses or T-shirts) that you can mix and match. Denims can be repeated over and over. Nobody cares, when you are on vacation, if you repeat clothes. A good pair of walking shoes and a pair of "dress shoes" for in case you want to go to a nice restaurant. Also throw in a nice dress for the same reason.
You can buy, (from Walmart or Target - in the suitcase section),
these plastic bags where you fold your clothes and then put them in the bags. Zip up the top and roll out the air. Everything inside is compressed to use very little space. They also sell the ones that you vacuum out the air. That's
OK for the "going" part of the trip. However, on your return, it would pose a problem because, how are you going to get a vacuum cleaner hose to do it when you start packing again to go home? Right? But you can repeat clothes at least twice and wash and hang underwear in the bathroom. Hope this helps.

Get a bigger suitcase or use those travel space bags that you can roll up and take the air out of.
Good luck and happy travels!

I recently spent 26 months living out of my backpack. Rolling is the best method to pack efficiently. Further, I then put rubber bands around the ends of the rolls. This keeps them rolled, and saves you the trouble of having to refold things.

Get your boyfriend to pack for you.
It won't take much space for 2 pairs of knickers, a bikini, 1 pair of jeans, 2 blouses and a tooth brush.

Yes, we were trained like we were Army, and rolling leaves more room than folding.
