I read on an answer on here that you have to take a test after getting a passport? Is this true or what? If so what kind of test? I never read anything on the government website about this...

No there's no test! That's only if you want to become a citizen. All you have to do is go to the post office, show your citizenship certificate or birth certificate, pay a fee, fill out a form, take some photos, and you're set.

The only test is being able to write your name. If you can't do it, you don't get a passport unless you're a little child on an adult's passport.

Not true. You need to pass a test to be granted US Citizenship. US Citizenship is required to obtain a passport, and the confusion might have started there.

There is no test, but you do have to have a swearing in before they will send it off to the passport agency.

I never had to take a test. Mine is up for renewel and they didn't mention a test in the near future!

There is no "test", they only check your paperwork and see that you are who you claim to be.

You must take and pass an algebra test, just so they can be sure of you
