You may think he is mean and ruthless but he was nice enough to create you and give you the option of living in paradise for and eternity and if that one doesn't suit you then there is always the second less happy option.

Not all christians are ruthless; now I admit some are. I know for me I don't want to be saved from christianity. I just want to be that a christian which means Christ-like.

You obviously have no understanding of Christianity, because if you did you would know that our God is neither mean nor ruthless--quite the opposite. What other religion can boast that their god loved them so much, he died for them?

You can't save anybody from their belief structure, that's what the CHRISTIANS did to everybody....Look at the Native Americans and African tribes (i.e. their cultures were nearly annilated 'cause of Christians 'spreading the Word' which I guess to them means killing people and destroying cultures to convert people...) and the Inquistion...I agree that Christianity isn't great, it isn't pure as some people think it is, and that most religious (notice I'm using religious, not Christians particular) are so close-minded they can't except new ideas...so it's not that we can save them...they need to do it themselves if they choose to, and if they ask for help, then we'll help them...

You cannot change others beliefs, you just can change yours. We are all born and raised with beliefs and values that most people take for granted and most of them have no real value. The best we can do is to learn to be observers without prejudice and enjoy life. What is good? What is wrong? Who knows?

Like Jesus suggested start by removing the log from your own eye before trying to remove the splinter from anothers. if you truly believe in evolution how then can you criticize someone for evolving differently than yourself? How do we kow your evolution is more advanced or less advanced? If such divisions truly exist.

Christ died in you place for your salvation to pay the penalty of death for your sin. This sounds mean and ruthless?

I wish that more religious leaders would preach the bible in a figurative sense, not a literal sense that discourages unity, fellowship, and understanding.
