Uh, why else would they?

Less dependence on oil is what this country needs. We are bunch of slaves to Bush and his crooked oil men. There's a reason why we went from 89¢/gal under Clinton to $3.49/gal under Bush. He and his oil henchmen, the Saudis, have been manipulating oil prices and raking in record profits.

Bush and Cheney are the biggest crooks this country has ever seen.

I wouldn't. When you factor in the battery and the extra cost it does not save you gas. As for the environment when you factor in what it takes to make that car it will use more oil and have a higher cost per mile than a gas engine car. You also might want to consider that you end up doing more harm to the environment because of the end disposal problem with the battery. Also get ready for a replacement at about a 100k. Personaly I would buy a car capable of running on e-85 or regular unleaded. If you burn e-85 it does not harm the environment.

Well, besides money and gas, the technology behind the Hybrid vehicle is futuristic. You might have fewer hassles with this vechicle because of the way it is built. When you drive it, it feels very smooth and "air less" and it has a cute exterior design for a car.

I know you dont want to know about the financial benefits and its potential to reduce COs gases, but these are important realities. Im sure you know a lot about these things and just want to know what else is so great about the vehicle. Hope my comments helped and you have a great day.

We are a two hybrid household for all of those reasons, and they certainly are the most compelling. I think there is also some serious cool factor in:

- Owning new technology (I'm also a computer/gadget nut)
- Being an early adopter
- The growing community of owners
- Guilt-free usage of drive-thrus
