Pork cutlets/loins, a couple apples, oranges, bananas, a bag of grapes? Apples and pork go well together. Or get a thing of strawberries and a pint of ice cream for dessert. Strawberries are in season now so they should be cheaper than normal.

No lemons though. I'm paying a buck a lemon and even the produce manager thinks that's insane.

Im always on a tight budget. I had steak fajitas tonight. 1 onion, 1 Green pepper, and Sirloin Steak (precut) the sirloin is like 2.54 but it feeds two people. Top round steak is usually a cheap steak too. Cover it in seasoning and you cant taste the difference. Rice and noodles are good. I think its like 1.29 for a bag of lipton cheese brocoli rice serves 2-3 people for a side. Milk and cereal is always good. Bread 99cent and cheap lunch meat. (buddig or dagwood) As far as fruit thats pretty expensive. Apples or Oranges are your best bet and strawberries. Eggs are cheap I usually buy 6 for .69 cents. Tuna is ok but sometimes it can be expensive. Cheap tuna is usually kinda black or dark in color and tastes kinda bad. Mac and cheese is a good inexpensive side. Ground turkey is sometimes cheaper than hamburger I personally cant taste a difference. I make meatloaf with ground turkey meat. Chili isnt usually too expensive to make A can of beans a packet of seasoning and a lb of meat. Double the recipe and it can make 2-3 meals. I have frozen it before. Some people say its not good for you but I havent ever gotten sick. Spaghetti is another cheap meal. Noodles can be as little as a quarter. Wal-mart has an off brand of sauce for a 1.00 that isnt too bad and again I use ground turkey. I use a lb of turkey and two cans of sauce. I freeze left overs. Hamburger helpers and stuff arent bad either they arent great but when you are broke its worth it. Hope this helps a little. Frozen broccoli is usually 1.00 corn on the cob is in season can usually get that cheap or cans of veggies are cheap too.
