The problem with Immigration Issues is that All brat Congressman were born with a silver spoon in their mouth!
politics & Immigration Issues walk hand with hand.
On Immigration issues the main problem is the greedy spoiled people who care only about money and hedomism, And don't care about other people !
People who never had been an Immigrant are trying to make/change/update laws for people that they consider inferior than them.!
They look at Immigration from the top to the bottom, and try to criminalize and stereotype nations and ethnicity's!!!
But... what about if they become undercover illegals and try to cross illegaly by land from Mexico, or by ocean from Cuba to the USA?
( Tendran las agallas y el valor ? ) They might understand better about Immigration,,,...

I stand up for SMART Borders!
You will listen more about Smart Borders soon!
We don't want open or closed borders!
We need Comprehensive Reforms.!!!

Peace!

I dont understand the others, yet whilst united states took the fifty 5% to the mexican territory in 1845, united states took the mexicans living in that lands, at present time the legal and ilegal immigration from Mexico (mexicans) to united states began.... before that day, the immigration replaced into human beings to Mexico... (Houston, Austin, and so on and so on) replaced into legals migrants in Mexico (texas).

What YOU don't understand, along with the corrupt politicians, is that most ILLEGAL immigrants don't want to be citizens of the U.S.A. anyway!
You may be IN that group. The tone of what you have written tends to indicate that.
Those immigrants who protest our culture, language and laws want to keep their own culture and language. So WHY leave to come here?
Could it be OPPORTUNITY?
If so, GO HOME and change your OWN corrupt government to permit the opportunity that all decent human beings desire.
Then you can stay with you family, culture and language.
Or is that too much like WORK?
YOU Choose. WE are wise to you.

I am a born American citizen but my husband escaped a communist country in eatern Europe to come legally to the US. My father and grandparents were imigraints form Europe. They went through Ellis Island in the early 1920's.My husband learned English and with me as his wife has learned the American culture. He spent one year in a refugee camp in Italy so that Interpol could run a background check on him before they let him run freely in the states. He belives everyone should do something simalar so we only have people who really want to become Americans living here.

So following along in your arguement, then should only women be able to make laws concerning abortion, because a man can never get one? Or can people who haven't served in the military not be able to judge laws concerning the military? Or if people haven't used illegal drugs, can they then not be able to make laws against illegal drugs?

Yes, we need to be smarter when it comes to border security, and enforcing our laws on our soil. Target the employers and renters, and there won't be a reason or ability to come here illegally. But in the meantime, what are we going to do with the millions of illegal immigrants here already?

Like you said half of all legal immigrants are Mexicans. We are not being racist. Its those who think accepting one million Mexicans a year is not enough. They speak dicersity, but they don't seem to want us to accept a diverse selection of immigrants.
