I had my second child 6 months ago. I was nursing up until a couple weeks ago, but stopped so that I could start on diet pills because I can't seem to drop any weight. I work out 4-6 days a week for a good 40-50 minutes each time with a pretty intense workout. I try to do mostly cardio to lose fat percentage, and I weight lift about every other day. I cut out caffeine (except for what's in the diet pills), cut out liquor and beer, and pretty much only drink water and occasionally crystal light. I have a good diet- and drink lots and lots of water. I had finally lost a few pounds a couple days into taking the diet pills, and am now back up to almost 10lbs heavier than I was a week and a half ago! What am I doing wrong?! I am so frustrated from trying to be so healthy and working out so much, yet seeing no results. My measurements haven't even changed, so it's not like I seem to be turning fat into muscle. HELP!!!

Stress may be your problem. Having a new baby is so wonderful, but it's also very stressful. Have you tried Yoga? It's very relaxing. Make sure your diet includes lots of fruits, veggies, whole grains, and water. Also include a little meat and some low fat dairy. Don't focus on weight loss. Focus on general health and happiness. Breath deep, smile, and enjoy that new baby! The weight will go away if you maintain a healthy happy lifestyle.

One must change the mind to focus on gaining health rather than loosing weight. Loosing is a negative mindset.

Feeding your body very high nutrition is the key to replace old and tired body cells for total regeneration. Below is a link to an audio conference call with Aadil Palkhivala on a product called Sunrider foods. Aadil is a world renown yoga and nutrition teacher and he travels extensively teaching wellness.

I would be happy to assist you further after you listen to the audio. Take care, Chad.

what meals are you eating? without knowing your meals i cant really answer this too well. but i suggest eating meals low in fats and lower in carbs except after your workouts cause that is when your body needs carbs the most. keep taking the diet pills cause diet pills do work even if some ass below or above me says they dont. next i dont know how much water you are drinking but it could be water weight as well. i mean you are not overtraining so i dont see a problem there. just keep at it. diet pills NEVER works...if they would nobody would be overweight...eat good and exercise like you already do and the weight will eventually come off, it might take some time but you should not gain it back in a year.....
oh and you might just be building muscle ....they weight more than fat.....you measurement dont need to change ....the muscle just take the place of the fat...( at least that what i was told went i was going to the gym.....cause, like you i was gaining weight....but after like 2 month i starting losing the weight)

I suggest to resume breast feeding (if possible) because that is likely the cause of weight gain .Breast-feeding burns calories in addition to the other wonderful benefits it provides for both you and your baby. I am not an advocate for diet supplements because the results they may give can be achieved without them. A clean diet and regular exercise will deliver don't be discouraged because you are not getting results as quickly as you'd like
