I was thinking about Jake. What do you think is a good name?

Yeah I like the name Jake too But, you might wanna pick something a little out of the ordinary because when you take your new lab to the park to play fetch I'm gonna bet that you might not be the only one there hollering the name Jake. I personally like the name "Diesel" for a black lab I think that fits pretty good. Heres a site to find boy dog names. Good luck and Congrats on your new puppy.....

If you like the name Jake - use it!! Jake is a good name for a male. A pet's name should be something the owner feels works for them and their pet. My daughter named our Lhasa-mix Oliver because "he looked like an Oliver" to her.

well i think that it is a boy since you put jake so 1.Polo 2.Jake 3.Sugar Bear (my old black labs name)and that is it but to get some names go to google.com and type in dog names and it will bring alot of names hope you like my answers

Our black lab is named Buck. My husband's old black lab was named Jake, it's a cute name.

It's hard without knowing your personality or the dogs but I like Sambucca -a black party starter, Sam is easy to call as well Sooty - hehe that one was a joke sorry.x Magic- of the black kind of course, would be good if he is happy go lucky in nature Omen- I like this one actually and could be good luck for your fending of dark omens and all. Solomon - a black king Barry White - hehe another black king Albino - Alby for short Nero- the name of an ancient black emperor who ordered his people to find the source of the nile, I think nero is close to the latin word for black as well this one is cool, this is my fave anyways I know they are a bit strange but they all have a meaning behind them and I think unique names are always best for pets.x

Jake's a good name. You might think about Jet too since it means "black" and "move fast" both of which make me think about a black lab.

I'm in favor of Zorro, Midnight, Coal, Coal Miner, just to name a few. If he is a working dog, like cattle or sheep dog he needs a strong name, but if he is family pet a little less formal is ok. A pet is in many ways like children, they need discipline and a lot love!!! If you really watch him a good name will come to you. Best of luck.

I have 5 dogs and I name them after I see their attitudes. I really like the name Nash best. But here are some other favorites too.. Kodiak, Bentley, Viper & Sampson.. Odd names I guess, but I like them.
