Hello! :)

My mother is deceased, and her sisters and my godmother have decided to throw my bridal shower.

Is there a certain type of thank you gift or gesture that I can do for them to show them how grateful I am for this?? I thought about getting them flowers, but would that be enough?

A hostess gift is always in order in a shower situation.
You are doing right!

Flowers are a great idea for older ladies because they usually have a house full of trinkets and sit-arounds, and they probably rarely get fresh flowers delivered to them! They will love it!

Alternatives that are always a hit are: Bath products, restaurant gift certificates, spa gift certificates, and chocolate!

They are throwing you the shower. You don't need to give them anything except maybe a thoughtful thank you letter. Flowers are a nice gesture though and maybe you can present them to them when you give your thank you speech after opening your gifts.

Yes, of course. You really don't have to respond with a gift, but flowers would be a very nice gesture.

They are doing this because they love you and want to honor you....I am sure they arent expecting too much more than a thank you. I think getting them some flowers would be a nice gesture.

A wonderfully written thank you note would be appropriate.

They are trying to shower you, not the other way around. However, if you would like to send them flowers (I will never try to disuade the giving of flowers) have it be after the fact so they know it is for them, not decorations for the shower.

Definitely give her one to relieve some of the stress from planning a wedding.
