It doesn't sound fair to the dog. I mean human prisoners get what 1 hour outside each day, that is hardly enough for the dog.
Plus we pay enough to house and feed the prisoners as it is.

I say NO. Prison is already too comfortable with Internet, satellite, and whatever. Why should people who commit crimes be allowed the luxury of a pet? Not fair to the dog either. The dog would be better off with someone who wasn't a criminal.

I don't think they should have any pets while in jail. They are in there to be punished & allowing a dog only soothes their souls. They should not have that privledge.
Beside it only makes another mouth for the tax payer to pay for.
I say NO they should not have pets while in jail.

No . . . . .but they do have programs at some prisons where the prisoners raise the pups that will be used for various jobs until they are ready for training.

No. Other inmates could hurt them. Or unscrupulous people could take mean dogs in to terrorize other prisoners.

No way. Inmates are not allowed personal property in jail. Dogs are personal property. Thus inmates do not get dogs when they're in jail.

Dogs should not go to prison, humans shouldn't either (I know some deserve it).
