when i was working, i drove 26 miles one way. took me anywhere from 40 minutes to 1 hour and 40 minutes!!

One time in a snow storm, took me 4-1/2 hours to get home.

Did that for 15 YEARS till the company was bought out and changed from nice, small company to huge corporation....dog eat dog! what a difference and i hated it!

I live on the North side of Chicago and work in a far North suburb about 20 or so miles away. It takes me about 45 minutes to work in the morning and about an hour to hour and a half home in the afternoon. I must really love my job to put up with a commute like that.

25 minutes by bike, and thats the scenic route. If I take the direct route and share the road with half-asleep drivers, 15 minutes by bike.

Not to be picky about your grammar but..... it should be either "How far is your commute?" or "How long does it take you to commute to work?".
16.4 miles
