I'm here on business and would love to experience something in the downtown Denver that is truly unique to Denver. Love wild game, and great wine. Ate at Brook's last night, probably the best New York strip I've ever eaten.

For drinks, check out the Cruise Room bar at the Oxford Hotel. It's a funky, 1930s Art Deco style bar with great Martinis and bartenders with lots of flair.
Then maybe Elway's for a nice steak dinner, can't get much more uniquely Denver than John Elway's restaurant.

If you want unique try the Fort in Morrison or the Buckhorn Exchange in downtown Denver. See links below. you won't find anything like either of these restaurants in the entire country. They are truly "Colorado".
I lived in Denver for 20 years. Now living in Seattle but miss it alot.

I highly recommend Potager. It is on 1109 Ogden St. and is FABULOUS.
Everything they serve is seasonal so the menu changes depending on what fruits and vegetables are good at the time. My favorite thing there is their asparagus dishes.
You also might be interested to know that all of their meat is clean and free range and the are well known for their wine selection. On their menu they have what wines go best with the dish.
It is a wonderful, wonderful restaraunt (though you have to go soon after they open in the evening if you don't want to wait.) If you diecide to give it a try, I hope you enjoy it.
