I had that issue years ago. I was crying hysterically thinking I had bowel cancer. It was a hemorrhoid. When you go to the bathroom #2, the hemorrhoid becomes irritated and tends to bleed. This is an easy thing to have taken care of by a doctor. The doctor can remove the hemorrhoid or give you some cream or suppositories.

Not necessarily.

The most common source of blood with your stools is hemerroids. If it is bright red and just spotty with your stools this is the most likely cause.

Blood in the stools or black tarry stools is a sign of internal bleeding. There can be a lot of different sources for that, the least common of which is cancer. It is considered an emergency and the source needs to be located and treated. Now, not next week. One possible cause is overuse of ibuprofin.

Blood in the stool beyond a small amount for several days is not normal. It does not by any stretch mean it's cancer, but nonetheless it may be every bit as serious to your immediate health. Get your health professional to check you out asap.
